Hand vrs. machine sewing

I know it may sound old fashioned but I really love hand sewing. There is something about it that is simple,soothing and just decreases my stress. Now I sew on a machine as well but most of my quilts are hand done. What projects do you hand sew and which do you prefer?

I sew alot on machine - i find hand sewing my stitches are uneven or crooked. I also find i'd rather knit than hand sew.

I knit also. In fact I make my own patterns and sell them. Any extra cash and since I am bad at following directions I write down what I do then refine them to sell. It works out nice actually. I do like the look of the straight perfect stitches but It sooths my soul to hand sew.

Making your own patterns is an awesome idea. I like following what others did and making it my own by making teenie changes.
