In this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1C_NWMRs8Q a delegation of Russian diplomats refuse to shake Obama's hand at lest four time that I can see. The man that the Russians will shake hands with is the U.S Ambassador to Russia. I do not like Obama but this is just rude and uncivilized. Even though this happen on July the 11th not one media outlet I have found has run this story.

I think that it is very rude and unprofessional. Whether you like someone or not, there is proper behavior. I haven't seen anything about this in the news either. Personally I don't like 0bama either but this goes beyond that to downright rude. They'd be hopping mad if 0bama treated the Russians this way...heck, we'd probably be at war with them if he snubbed them this way. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

Exactly, there is just a certain protocol when dealing with world leaders. No matter what you think about them you at lest shake their hand when you are a world leader too.

The media would rather be drawn and quartered than to run this story. It is rude, but I thought everyone worshipped Pres. Obama. I wonder why the Russian diplomats refused to shake Obama's hand. Maybe the jig is up.

I noticed a hand shake attempt the first few times, followed by a frustrated look on Obama's face. Still not completely sure what to take form this but it certainly looked like a great deal of rudeness on the part of the russian diplomats. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let them visit my part of the U.S. I'll gladly give them the same warm "north country welcome" we give any other flat lander. Rude Bastarrds. Apparently it isn't just Russian dignitaries either, check this out from Saudi Arabia..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t439ruGCqRw&feature=related WTF is wrong with people anyway? I have a pacific ocean sized divide between mine and Obam's ideology and it would never even cross my mind to not look in to a mnas eye and shake his hand when offered. Where I live, to refuse a hand shake to a man offering one, even one you disagrea strongly with, is a sign of obscene disrespect, and indicates a person of great snobbery and boorish manners.

yeh?....well....you....you have an ugly tail! Lol, I know, I have terrible dyslexia when I type. My brain goes much faster than my fingers, they try to keep up and the result is far from pretty. In more important work, I do go back and spell check, look for grammer, etc.

****important note for those who don't lie up my way..... A "flat lander" is a term that more describes a mentality and personality rather than a location. Though it is usualy used in general to describe people from southern New england, or even those in the extreme lower part of new hampshire, it more refers to the menatilty of those who are convinced we are just a bunch of mountain dwelling hics and they know so much better than us how to live. It refers to a certain pervasive rudeness and consdicending and disrespectfull attitude.

ok, who's been to Russia? do you know what the politicians are like there? it is rude but not much they do surprises me and this could have happened for lots of reasons - it was unintentional (unlikely), for some reason they thought it was the right thing to do, they doesn't like obama, they're racist, it's a dig at america in general not at obama personally. last 4 all possible.

I agree with the Russians... 0bozo is not worthy of notice, and is not eligible or qualified to be in the position that he defrauded his way into. The Russians gave him exactly the amount of respect and notice that he deserves.

Maybe they did not shake his hand because they knew he expected them to kiss his. And is not hand shaking reserved for comrades? I guess they are telling him that they reject anyone who wants to bring back a form of government to the States that failed in Russia.

do you know what communism in russia was really like? or the sort of democracy they have now? liberalism is nothing like that and it would be very strange indeed if that's what it led to. you don't like the policies, that's it. you're not facing a revolution by disgruntled people who don't realise what giving that amount of power to leaders could lead to (certainly not the fairness intended, marx was as naive as they come i think).

I think Obama was pretty mad. They are probably mad at him for not being President about forty years ago.
