Your Opinions don't Matter!

Has anyone ever told you that your opinions don't matter? When someone answered these words to me while I was making a point, it really hurt me but then I realized that I also sometimes don't care about what other people think. But what if the person who told you that your opinion doesn't matter is hurting another friend of yours and you really believe that he is doing is wrong. Does my opinion still matter?

that sucks that would make me look stupid and all. well we are different from each other and not all opinions are applicable to one person. we all have opinions but the one we are advising with can only make one decision and once is done, opinions don't matter anymore...
