I used to love Patricia Cornwell books, those books on forensic featuring Kay Scarpetta. Those books are very exciting and very educational. However, I find that the recent books of Patricia Cornwell, featuring Detective Win Garano and the District Attorney Monique Lamont to be great disappointment. The writing standard is below that of novice. The second book, The Front, is worse than the first. I seriously suspect that someone writes the story, and Patricia Cornwell allows the person to use her reputation. There is nothing similar in writing styles. Do you find the writings of Patricia Cornwell deterioriate?

Perhaps this writer was ready to make a change and wanted to go in a different direction. This happens from time to time, after all J.K. Rowling decided to kill off Harry Potter.

Hi Canellita, this Patricia Cornwell is not just changing the writing niche. The change in writing standard is unbelievable. I check the reviews in Amazon, more than half are existing fans feeling cheated with the recent books. The standard of writing falls so unbelievably low. It is as if Stephen King forgets how to write well, and starts to write like a 15 years old schoolboy.
