I really want to read Angels and Demons by Dan Brown before the movie comes out. Problem is, my parents won't let me buy or borrow any books cuz they think I read too much. I don't necessarily wanna download it, but can I read it for free online somewhere?

Your parents think you read too much??? I've never heard of such a thing! Reading is good for you! People who read more have a better vocabulary and better writing skills! Plus, the more you read, the more you learn! These handy skills can help students do better on testing and get better grades! Most parents try to encourage their children to read more!

hehe *walks up to a fence that hides the lower half of his face* you know im reminded of the great philosopher Sir Francis Bacon who said "Reading maketh a full man, conference a ready man, and writing an exact man."

Amazon.com has a preview thing where you can read excerpts from books. Sadly unless someone took the time to type out the whole book in a .pdf format illegally and there's a torrent somewhere where you can download it your not really going to find it for free unless you go to a library...which if you live near it and have a card you can go to at your pleasure and just borrow it on your card. As for your parents not letting you borrow or buy the book...it really doesn't matter what they think. its what you enjoy doing and if your out of school there's far worse things you could be doing then reading. seriously if you have money of your own and you want the book just buy it despite your parents...especially if your earning it. If your earning it then they don't have a choice in my opinion. I had an allowance when i was a kid and i damn well bought what i pleased. Most of it was CD's at the time, it should have been books...and it soon will be actually. I read a lot as a kid...and not just kid books. I read like complicated books by people like Carl Segan, Michal Chriton, Robin Cook and things like that. In fact im reading what books I have and when im finished with that there is a list of books that are considered classics that i fully intend to enjoy. and guess how long that list is! 1001 books you must read before you die is the name of the list. The long and the short of it is no one can tell you what you can enjoy and how much of it is appropriate. If that's what you like to do in your spare time then that's your prerogative and no one can and should fault you for it let alone hinder you from doing it.

I don't have any information on that book or where you can get for free. I just wanted to say I don't think you read too much unless that is all you do. Reading is great . I wish I had more time to read and I wish my son would read more. I know the more you read your comprehension increases and it helps with your study habits. Good luck finding the reading material you want.
