Raining cats and dogs

Switzerland

Here comes the rain. Here in Switzerland, the whether often change from warm to cold. At the same time, raining in most weekends. Raining is always heavy here and no typhoon. I always love rainy season but I have to really dry my shoes so I can use it again when I go out. I actually have a special shoes when raining. The reason behind is that, I love to play with water stuck in holes in the street, like step on it or look myself in that water like looking in the mirror. I also love to make a wish while raining. For me, rain gives hope. Rain is a symbol of new hope. Why I say this. As I watched movies and see places with droughts, the people were always waiting for the rain. And when no rain comes, all their plants and rice will die and they have no harvest for that time. Because of rain, there is hope for these farmers. I can relate to them because I was once a small kid who always follow my parents to the farm. My father plants many vegetables and I just watched him while I play with my brother. I just remember. But anyways, do you like playing with the rain? Do you love heavy rain? OR are you affected by heavy rains because it can creat landslides, soil erosions and floods? Have a nice day. Keep posting. Happy mylotting. Best regards Jeff

Hi!i am from the Philippines and at present we're on the rainy or wet season already. i have different opinions about having a rainy season.Personally when im just at home and basically have nothing to do i like it when it rains, i like the cold weather it brings because i won't have to turn on the A/C anymore, i can practically sleep easily ;-). And i agree with you that it does help in waterng farmland making it easy for farmers and they won't have to pay astronomical water bill for a certain period. But too much rain is quite a problem also. Here in my country, it floods easily specially in manila where a lot of residents move up their furniture to the second floor so as not to wet them or staying up in the rooftop just to save themselves from growing flood. And the stagnant water becomes breeding place for mosquitoes which also elevates dengue cases, brings traffic jam, reason for suspended classes, etc.And in some higher areas landslides do happen too...

I don't like playing in the rain because I easily gets cold that's why I'm avoiding to go out when it is raining. When I was a kid I like to play in the rain and I remember our house always have a flood everytimes it is raining.
