Do you use the microwave, is it safe?

What does it do to the food? How many times can you microwave a cup of coffee until it's not really coffee anymore? It makes meat turn all hard and rubbery. What about eggs in the micro, they can be fun, but what is it really doing to the egg? Is it safe to consume something from the microwave?

Hello Shadorma this is checkmail and often cook some of the food stuff in my microwave, yes its really very safe to cook in it.Microwave gets automatically shutdown if any problem occurs, there is no need manual watch.Just set the time and the temperature and our food is cooked. The food prepared form microwave is more healthy in nature than our regular cooked food.It is stated that it reduces the use of oil in cooking as well preare fatless food with preserving the nutritions of the food.

I've never been into cooking via microwave... it boils things from the inside out. Which means once the center is cooked...it continues to cook while it is cooking the outter edges. I have found meat is tough and tastless when cooked in the nuker. And things don't cook evenly either. So I just use the nuker for boiling things and an occasional heat-up. I have a toaster oven and that does so great for heating things up and baking and does it quickly and easily and it tastes so good as it bakes in its own juices, instead of the juices being used to boil it from the inside out!

Yeah, I love the toaster oven, too. Taste like it's straight from the big oven, but half the time!

Hi, I used to cook using the microwave, but the food turned out exactly as you described - dry, tough and tasteless. So now I cook using either the stove or conventional oven. The microwave is for heating food or thawing frozen stuff.

I would say that it is safe to use but may not be safe to consume the food that is being done in a microwave oven. But, nowadays, I just use the microwave oven to heat up my food. Nothing more than that.

We are using microwave to heat some leftovers but not really cook food in it. The meat will be hard and rubbery if the heat dispersed already. So better eat your meat while it's hot.Ü I haven't tried cooking eggs in a microwave but if someone does this, can you share your experience? he he. thanks!Ü

Cooking eggs in the micro is pretty neat to watch, and they taste ok. Get microwave safe bowl, scramble up a couple eggs, meat, cheese, milk, whatever, and put in micro for ... mmm can't remember, maybe 1 min 1:30 mins, it starts to get big and swell up like it's going to ooze out of the bowl, but usually gets spongy like and big then when the heat stops, it swells back down and you eat it!

I only use it to heat some food. THe bread and pizzas get soggy, the meat burns, the coffee doesn´t taste the same. I don´t know how "safe" it is, but I don´t like it.
