Do your children think that as it is lighter when they go to bed it is not bed time.My son says it is still day time as it is light out side.Do your children say that?

Hello jugsjugs, of course my child does not think it is bed time when the nights are lighter, after all ANY excuse not to go to bed. It's okay now in the 13 weeks school holidays but in term time it does become difficult as bed time isn't sleep time to start with, but settling down quietly time with a good book before sleep which it is difficult to persuade him to do when still light outside. But in term times I like to keep to a regular routine otherwise it is impossible to get him up in the mornings.

My kids did that for the first few longer days. I had to keep explaining to them that it stays light out longer in the summer time, but it was still bed time. My oldest can sort of tell time now so she got it pretty quickly that it was still time. My 4 year old didn't quite get it but since her sister was going to bed without a fight she started to also.

hahahah, my niece is sometimes like that even if she is asked by her mom to take a nap in the afternoon she always say that sleeping is just at nights and she would always say that she cant sleep or she is not sleppy until her own eyes closes...happy lotting

My son isnt old enough yet, but I remember when I was little I used to cry at my mom because she made me go to bed when it was still daylight and I didnt understand why she was making me go to bed early.
