I did mark "best response" to the deserving responder.
I believed it is a way we show our appreciation for their
effort. Good practice! Now I want to know what is the benefits
for those who get "best response"? Anyone can enlightened me on this.
Tks and really appreciate your response.

Hi, friend.
Marking the best response is a good practice so as to give the credit to somebody who deserves.
Since, mylot does not disclose its earning criteria, it is not possible to tell the exact benefit gained by the person who gets it. But, as i have observed till now, the person getting the best response mark, gets benefit in his/her mylot reputation as well as the earnings.
Also, if you comment on others` responses to your discussions or mark best response, it increases your mylot reputation and earnings also.
Happy Mylotting!!

Dear THEcreationist,
Appreciate your advice very much. I also
start to observe my own earnings based on
what you mentioned... looks like your info
is hitting the bull-eye, BINGO... the earnings
really rocketed when I reply to the fellow myLotters
who response to my discussions! Thanks and all the best!

Hi Iriene, I don't know if there is any Mylot benefit to receiving a best response but it certainly makes me smile when i receive one. I am sure it must go some way to enhancing your mylot reputation. It also shows that the person who started the discussion cares about the discussion and takes time to read the responses he receives. If I see a discussion having no comments from the topic opener then i wouldn't expect that they would ever award a best response which shows lack of respect to the people who took the time to respond to him.

Hi Iriene, well if I've bothered to open a topic to respond seeing a best response above me wouldn't put me off and you awarded it to one of my friends here. I didn't respond to the discussion you mentioned as had already responded to something very similar, it actually might have been yours, when I see the same topic again though I tend not to respond twice. I was about to add you as a friend but noticed that on this discussion you only commented back to my response and I have a guide I follow to only add friends who comment on the full discussion they started, there are lots of benefits to this, see other discussions on it. Have a read on them and then request me if you start to comment throughout the discussions. Sorry that sounds patronsing but check a discussion on it and you'll see what I mean.

Dear thea09,
You are such a nice person, you still contribute
your response despite I already marked "the best
response". Appreciate it very much! Btw have you

to use credit card or cash?" Hope to hear from you
again and happy myLotting! :)
P.s : It is very true, the "best response" always
give a smile on my face :) :) :), tks!

From what I have read there isn't any real benefit from best response other than letting someone know that you chose their answer to be the one you felt was the best to answer your discussion in mylot.
I like it actually, it gives people a challenge to give better answers, to give more knowledge of what they know. It helps others as well.

I read somewhere that it might give a boost in our earnings. Anyways, it's not easy to earn that Best Response and having so many under your belt in such a short period is amazing! Keep it up Iriene88!

Hi,
I was not so active at myLot, therefore I do not have many
topic of discussion. But lately I do start new discussion,
and I am quite happy with all the responses that I had received.
They are so creative and good.
I do award the Best Response (BR) to the most deserved response
for their effort. I normally will open my discussion for 2 weeks
to give other myLotters more time to response, before deciding
the BR.
I believe the BR awarded will encourage the recipient to respond
better in their future responses. It is good to encourage each other!

Dear James,
You have do the right thing, good, keep it up
It is definitely encouraging to receive a BR for the effort that
we put in to response to a particular topic of discussion. It
shows that the myLotter who started the topic appreciate our
response and give credit to it.
This is a good practice and should be observed by all myLotters
who start a topic of discussion here at myLot. After a certain
period of time, once the best response is selected, the topic
should be resolved
