Human roughly divided into two types: the cat and the cat does not have the nature of people. Cat's heart is deeply engraved in the soul of human being, and a long. For centuries, cats to humans is very important. Cat as a symbol of good fortune, by the awe and love of humanity, but also was seen as the embodiment of the devil, and by a large number of massacres. When cats become pets? About 3000 BC in ancient Egypt, after the first domestication of cats was used to control rats, and gradually become a popular family companion, and even as gods. Egyptians of such a flexible, robust, sophisticated, able to buy the hunter kill the mouse, very impressed, and began to question them as sacred objects. Egyptian God called them home, "Ming meow" (MIW). When the "meow Ming" dead, the owner of mourning to be held in a cat who painted anti-corrosion oil, placed in a coffin and sent to Pasteur temple. A large number of dead to the ancient Egyptians made mummies of cats, scientists studying the mummy cat, showing that domestic cats originated from African wild cats. Ancient times, the cat in the Far East have also been domesticated, but later than in Egypt. Some authoritative source that China in 2000 BC, when the cat started, while others have the authority of that evening to China 400 years before the beginning of the year and cats. Cats reached Italy from Egypt, and later gradually spread to Europe as a whole, in many countries to win the "admirer." However, the Middle Ages, the cat has been bad luck. Church of Christ and the pagan idols do not want to be associated, launched a campaign of persecution of the cat. Perhaps as a result of a cat with incredible agility, superstitious people believe that witches can be deformed to a cat. This view led to the unfortunate consequences of a cat - is often burned to death Christians, because they believe that the cat is the devil in disguise. However, when cats have been known to re-use when the cats do not welcome the gradual disappearance of the phenomenon. To the 18th century, the family cat has once again become common in the animal. In the 19th century, the cat has been very common. To the late 19th century, at the first cat exhibition, exhibition of purebred cats early.

I don't understand what you are trying to say here. Are you saying that some people think that cats were domesticated in China separately from Egypt? And that took place as early as 2000 BC or perhaps not until 400 BC? Is that what you mean in the last part of the above? I'm asking you to clarify this because I'm totally unaware of any such thing and I'd be very interested in learning more about this.

Very interesting. Thanks moon1688. I have own cats all my life. My grandpa likes them. I like them, too. But if I could choose between cat and dog, I would choose the dog because they play with you when you walk it. Cats are like objects - they always sleep or play with the leaf of some plants :). Now, when I read the article I understood that my cat is a hero.

I'm also a dog person, but my dog is a cat person, which is why we have a cat. The funny thing though, is that my cat is much more clingy than my dog. He loves to be held & cuddled, yet he started off as a feral cat that no one wanted. Oh, and he does dog tricks (his favorite is Roll Over).

Wow, interesting discussion! I have lived with cats all my life, so it's hard for me to imagine what life was like back then without domestic pets.

Yeah, that's really a helpful information. For many years there has no pets at all.people keep pets for they love pets.and also for the need to help them.for example when there are times that the cats can catch mouses, dogs can help protect home, they are usefuls too.
