I do come across a friend who dislike buffet. Her reason being buffet is expensive and not worth it. The food is less tasty and we end up over eat. How about you, what do you think and why do you think so. Let's discuss and tks again!

i really prefer buffet, cause you can chose the food you want and dont want to eat, cause youll be the one who would pick it for yourself, and about the price, you can look for restaurants that has buffet tables at a reasonable price...happy lotting.

Actually what you said is so true! All we need is scout for nice, delicious and affordable / reasonable priced buffet. Normally they allowed long hours especially "Hi-Tea", it is nice especially when we go out with friends... this will allowed us more time to hang-out & chat, it also solve the problem of fussy eaters, each one can find their favourite food, they can choose what they like from a wide range of choice. Tks for sharing and happy myLotting too!

ohh yeah!!especially me that im very choosy with foods then i really have that buffet table or resto, and they really could chose for their own also if you do have allergies with some food then you could get rid of it by simply not having the food your allergic with!!

I always love buffet because I can really eat. It is worth it for me to go for buffet than the Western Ala Carte which is more costly. I enjoyed Japanese buffet like the one offer at Shogun, really variety and value for money! They have spread of oyster baked with cheese, fresh raw salmon, tempura, sushi etc...really yummy! I also enjoy Korean buffet at 'Seoul Garden', I can barbeque the chicken & beef sliced meat that have been season with barbQ sauce, coffee, sesame oil etc...I tell you it is really delicious! Btw, I always enjoy International buffet spread, it will be wonderful if they have my favourite satay!

Hi, I am glad that you enjoy every buffet that you had! I and my family too have visited 'Shogun' and 'Seoul Garden' for the Japanese and Korean buffet. It really have variety of food to choose from. Shogun is really good, especially now they are offering RM49.90 per person for its lunch buffet. My son enjoyed its green tea ice cream, ice lemon tea drinks, Japanese tempura. It is 'great value for money' to those who can eat like my second sister. My son and my mum can't eat much...

My husband and I love to eat so buffet is always a good option for us. We usually schedule this though and we make sure we really make room for the food. Aside from being expensive, most buffet restaurants do not allow leftovers so we have to make sure we can finish the food. When we have our daughter and nanny with us, we opt for ala cart because they do not eat much.

I really depends upon how hungry i am. If i'm not very hungry, i cant have more than 2-3 eatables in my plate, so ala carte.... But when i 'm really hungry, i try out anything and everything, which is not possible for ala carte menu, so buffet. It also depends on mood, as for ala carte orders it takes time for the food to come in your table, whearas for buffet you can start as soon as you reach resturant,..

Oh yes, that's a good point too! I didn't think of that. Buffet can eat straight away. Excellence! You are right, if we are hungry, buffet will be the right choice, can eat as much as you want! Variety of choices too! Tks for sharing. Hope to hear from you again.

Buffet is like government hospital. Cheap (when you pro rate with the amount of food served) and so crowded. You pay that price, so you can expect what to get. Ala carte is like a specialist hospital. Expensive and well... specialise! You know you'll get the best when you ordered ala carte. But I wont mind buffet because of the hundreds of food served, there are bound to be at least ONE that is nice, and even if it doesn't, well, you should be full once you've tried everything! I like buffet once in a while because it can satisfy my tastebud. I can try all sorts of stuffs and I dont have to worry about paying too much as I know everything comes under one bill!

Dearest Merryn, you can really think beyond the norm... You can compared buffet/ala carte with hospital! That's classic! You got the point there too... many but not every dish are at exceptional quality. Me too, once a while I like to enjoy buffet, my son love buffet. You should try the Hi-Tea in Boulevard Hotel, Mid Valley. I heard my friends said Mandarin Oriental and Shangrila Hotel in KL, the hi-tea are superb, I think their price are expensive too! Tks for sharing and nice meeting you here in myLot!
