can u find out if someone is using another's user name on mylot?

It's happened to quite a few people. It's easy to look at somebody's profile, set up a name that's just slightly different, copy their profile pic and use it, add the same friends, add the same interests. If they're abusive you can report them, but they can just come back again and again and again. MyLot could block their IP, but the person would probably just come back in again with an anonymizer. It's beyond annoying!

i doubt its him and probably just someone new who came up with the same username. mylot can delete a persons ip address from logging in or maybe even coming on the site it self as long as its the same pc their useing. they could open a new account on a different computer.

Hi lady, I am sorry to hear that you have become the latest victim in mylot. I know it is very hurting when people use abusive words to draw out the angry juices from you. It happened to me several times and am getting fed up with life here. They don't seem to leave others in peace. I came across someone using my user name but spelled slightly different. I don't think the admin allows the use of the same name unless with a little modifications to the name. Someone else is having 'ZANDY' as her username. I did not bother but after getting no reaction from me, I have not found her appearances here anymore. I guess someone might have ticked off the admin. I don't know whether she is a genuine member or someone who is creating a same name to confuse others.

I don't see how they can as they would have to know his email address would't they ,I would contact mylot and see what is going on ,you should not have to put up with this.

This hasn't happened to me...and I don't know how you can see if someone is using another person's name or account. Apparently, there have been some problems here on MyLot lately as I have been reading the other discussions. I have no clue what is going on but hopefully MyLot can put a stop to all this craziness.

Hi friend, I do know that you can make another account if you delete the previous one or if you get deleted. I know it´s irritating to have people say bad things but they will be happier is you get pis*ed off. Hug!!!

There are some pretty smart detectives here on myLot, like tattylashes, and quite a few more, whom are able to ferret out these "rogues." I for one, do not know how these smart folks do it...but sure would like to know! Whenever I read their discussions, and they expose someone, I keep that list by my computer! I will PM you with two whom have been active at trolling lately...and they are the same person! Hopefully, our detective friends here on myLot will give us some guidance so that we can avoid the trauma you went thru yesterday! I was a target for a troll last February....and it hurt, cost a loss in my ratings and earnings! The earnings I did not care too much about...but it's sad..the destruction one troll can do to so MANY good people here! Have a sparkling day...and please do a rain dance for us! I bet that is highly possible.....if there is a stalker he would have all the info or use the same name if the account was cancelled.....It hasn't happened to me yet but you never know.

Sounds like the work of a troll. Just report what they said to you. Administration should handle it for you. There's really no way to tell unless you have an e-mail address and can contact the person they are possibly impersonating. This has happened many times before. It really stinks, doesn't it? Hey people stop fighting each other and let's get together to avoid thislittle menacing, evil, sneaky long heighten hair guys.you know the best way to check if there's a possible troll is either in the new user, discussion or those with no response. but i still suggest you avoid them since it' not worth your precious time in mylot.
