Hello! lelin, The purpose of life is to serve God. This is the the reason why God, created us. God, will know that pleases himself and see that people or man/woman is the best to give him please. How about you did you the purpose of your life? Did God, created you to go somewhere and fulfill your dreams?

Just follow the path that give you peace of mind my friend. Don't say that things to our creatures. It's what you are staying at home why you bother from yourself. This is because you have something to look for. Read some of the verse of the bible, my friend to know what are you bothering about and to know better about yourself. read this: "Therefore do not worry, saying 'what shall we eat?' or 'what shall we drink?' or 'what shall we wear?' " But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."(Mt.6:31,33) I will search that on the bible friend and hope that will help you something to ease your troubled mind. my twitter@http://twitter.com/great_tribes

Yes God created me to serve him but sometimes I really don't know how I'm suppose to serve him in my life. Right now I feel like I'm in a rut even though I'm helping my daughter and her family by letting them live with me and I'm babysitting my granddaughter while they work. I still just don't feel completely fulfilled as a person like I should.I guess its because I'm not working outside the house which I have done for 32 years. I guess I feel lost and alone. I keep feeling like God is saying you are needed where you are right now and that should be fulfillment in it yourself but some days I just don't feel it at all. Thank you so much for your response.

Hi lelin1123. Each one of us had been given a life. When will it end, we do not know. Some die young. Others are blessed with longevity. The purpose of our lives depend much on what is required for us to be at the moment. Children ought to play and discover. Students ought to learn their lessons and be educated. Young professionals ought to keep working and studying for advancement. Fathers ought to provide for their families. Mothers ought to nourish their families. Each of us has a role to live. Living it is the purpose of my life. When my time is done, let it be said that my life had been for the greater glory of God.

Very well said. I guess I just feel a little lost with my girls grown and I did my job of raising them. I've worked for many years and now I find myself without a job and I guess its just feeling not worth anything to anyone. I don't feel like this everyday but a few times a week. Its just no good for the soul. Thank you for responding.

My two girls are also grown and in college. I am on my own, too, most of the time. Depression had actually set in. The empty nest syndrome had become so real. Imagine me tending to my garden after tending to my daughters and many other children for so long... But it's also good, talking to the flowers and the butterflies and the birds. My daughters warned me not to talk so loud. Neighbors might think I'm having mental issues. Am glad for mylot. At least you people respond, ha ha!

Yes, I could say that I have found my purpose in life. The moment I held my child in my arms I knew that I'm supposed to take care of that child and any more that we will be blessed with and rear them to be God-fearing, responsible people who can help the world become a better place not for everybody (that's wishful thinking), but for themselves and the people around them.

Morning lelin1123 Well, if working as assitance nurse is the prupose of my life, than I have found since I do. I found it rewarding, not for the salary, but the happy faces I get from the elderly at the home I work at. Being professional in helping people in need have made my life happier and more rewarding than working at a office or in a factory. I would not want another job if I did not have to. I do not know if this is what was attended for me the day I was borned, but I love doing what I do and it feels right for me to.So I guess it was.

Hey, To tell you the truth, I haven't really found the purpose of my life just yet. It may be because I am only young still but I think that we must all try and help the unfortunate people as much as we can. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

This is the most difficult question.. the purpose of life can never be know to the fullest... as i was moving out of my teens that was the only question tha haunted me for a very long time and then i knew what i have to do ..but after acheiving it again i felt that emptiness i wanted to know now what again the purpose of life had changed .. i think with time the purpose of our exsistance changes.. making the search to start all over again

Yes I agree and I just have to find my purpose again. I feel like helping my daughter and her family in their time of need should be enough but for me its not. Not working outside the house is what I believe is getting to me. After working for 32 years outside the house I guess its just hard to adjust to and I feel I'm not worth anything anymore. Its just very hard to decide where to go from here. What is my next step in my life. Thank you so much for your response.
