Advance Dining Reservations?

I'm going to Disney World in September for the first time! I'm going with my boyfriend and we are planning on doing quick service dining for most meals. But since I don't want to do quick service for every single meal, I decided to make a few ADRs. The only restaurant I really wanted to eat at was the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater. But when I went to make my ADRs, that restaurant was booked up the entire time we were there! I was very disappointed! But I've been checking the reservations every day in case there were any cancellations. And I was in luck today because I was able to get a lunch reservation for the Sci-Fi Din-In Theater when we're there! I am so happy and excited! So if you ever go to make ADRs and it says the restaurant you want is booked up, keep checking back! There's always a chance someone will cancel! Do you make ADRs when you go to Disney?
