Touchpad vs. external mouse: Which do you use more?

When I'm using my laptop computer, I always use an external mouse. The reason is that it's more comfortable. I use the touchpad only when I'm in a position where using an external mouse is cumbersome - like sitting on a train. What about you guys? Do you use the touchpad at all times as it's easier? Or are you like me? :)
