Old Or New MyLot?

For those of you have been here long enough to remember the old myLot, which do you like better? I learned to navigate this site with a lot of patience and much trial-and-error when I first joined a few years ago, and that is why I am finding more and more that I liked the old myLot better than the current one. In my opinion the old profile pages were much better; also the home page. Now, I understand that there are those who believe that change is necessary in order to progress, but I still say that sometimes things are just better left as they are. What are some of the changes you like or dislike about myLot?

Once i learn something using one method,it is hard to get me to change to the " new and improved" method. When My Lot changed the format,I was upset. but now I am used to it.

I have had cable since 1981thank G-d!I think it is the " American Way" to " improve" things. It is such a pain.I wonder how many people didn't get the converter boxes and now don't watch t.v.

"New and improved" is not always better, sarah, and I am constantly asking myself why things can't just be left alone! A case in point: I suspected that the TV converter boxes would be a headache from the start, and mine has proven to be even worse.

I'm content with myLot either way. I don't do much on the site except respond to discussions and once in awhile start a discussion. I am frustrated with the tasks because I'd like to complete one or more but don't understand the way it works. It could be made easier to understand. Someone tried to explain it to me and it was so confusing I gave it up. Too bad it doesn't work the same as responding to discussions. This part of myLot couldn't be made easier. I set up my profile page almost 3 years ago and haven't touched it since that time. Once in awhile I will change the link on the page as I move around the internet and join other sites.

I am content without making changes. Not only on myLot but in general. I like "easy."

I try to change my profile page at least once a year, carolbee, simply because I am a person of many moods. I've never understood the Tasks application either, so I won't go near it.

Well like you I have to be honest I liked the old one better But I guess we have to move on with time lol Yes the old one was certainly better specially because there was no rating and things like that

You just answered another question for me gabs - that is why do we have to move on all the time? I'm a steadfast kind of person, and I don't adapt well to change. I won't say that all changes are bad, but they are in many instances. I'll never understand why people always want to "fix" something when it's not even broken.

I think that whenever you have a situation where the population grows you are going t have problems and things seem to go down hill. I like some things about the old Mylot. As far as the way things were handled. I think the graphics and pictures have improved 100%. Some things sure are better left alone.
