Do you believe in God? If you do, why? What does He expect of us? How do you know what He wants? Do you believe He judges sin and rewards good works? Can we expect Him to listen to us? Questions, questions and more questions. Here's your chance to tell me what you believe...be ready, I might have MORE questions for you!

Quite alot of big questions in there. I believe in God because I have experienced God. I have experienced HIM/HER in a more real way then I have ever experienced any human being. During this experience, I was totally saturated in a love like never before, for the first time in my life I found True Love....a love so complete and profound that no human could ever provide, I was amazed. Before the experience I believed in God, but afterwards it became a fact. I am not a born Christian, but have been born a Hindu, although I completely ignored my religion for 20 years. But after my awakening, I turned to God fulltime and have had alot of help from my spiritual masters. I'm telling you this so that you have some idea of why and how my answers are influenced. In the Hindu teaching, there is a concept of karma....for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.....it's a also a law of physics. So the law of karma states that every person born has experienced many lives before which dictate its character, influences and reactions in this life. This means that each of our paths are different and unique. Karma is a scientific process which has really nothing to do with God as such (like it's not God sitting there working things out for an individual in a painstaicking way)...it's abit like a really complex program that's working out...super super complicated multi dimensional equations....the doings and makings of many lives, born of choices, some beneficial and some not so beneficial The point of the 'game' is to go back to God, to reunite our spirit/soul in full totality with the God...the reservoir of all LOVE. When this happens we now longer take birth on this planet but go to 'heaven and live and enjoy with Him/Her'. When this happens, we can choose to be reborn again on this planet to help others find their way. Now everybody is on different places of the 'gameboard'...some more evolved then others....the more evolved KNOW more because have experienced more and therefore more is expected from them. So for eg, two people make the same mistake and it appears that karma comes down alot heavier on one of them then the other....well it's because that person should have known better....this person is infact closer to god, in the sense that he is more evolved and closer to finishing the game. Ok that should answer the second question. You know what God wants, by doing an obscene amount of self inquiry and soul searching. The ego is so clever and impossible to defeat on one's own because his judgement is always clouded by the ego in super fine and super evasive layers. So we need someone from the outside who has already crossed to the other side to help us out...this is where the dreaded concept of a GURU or Spiritual Master comes into play.....(although in these times it's almost impossible to come by a real one, but I believe earnest prayers and serious intent can get you to the right place/person....even if God has to specially create one for you, but the point is we need one in the flesh and blood to talk and confront us directly because otherwise the ego can play endless games distorting reality)........ I feel that only when one is fully self realised, ie the ego is totally subjugated to Gods will can we truly know what God wants....otherwise it tends to get mixed up with what we want somewhere in there! Once again a fully self realised person means a Guru/enlightened spiritual master etc....very difficult to come by might I add. A Guru is a person who is not influenced by his ego, the ego is in the grip of his soul....therefore the ego will never take the reigns in any action or given moment.....when this happens the Guru is in a place of constant unconditional and unlimited LOVE....everything he does or is.... is rooted in this place only....This love runs so deep that it connects with the THE reservoir of LOVE...GOD I thinks it's the law of karma/physics that dictates rewards and punishment...if you put your finger into the fire it will burn.....there's no judgement in it...it's just physics...likewise if you harm another soul....there will be repurcussions.....for EVERY action, there is an equal and opposite reaction...just because we can not see the reactions, it doesn't mean that they are not there.....as there are many parts to our universe that the human eye can not see. God will always listen to us, but He may not comply. I might ask God for something, but then I always finish it off by saying "I don't know anything, please only do what I'm asking if it's in the best interest for all mankind." I'm sorry if the words chosen are abit strange in this response, it's difficult because alot of the concepts I have written about don't originate in the English language and I'm not the best linguistic or much of a scholar to do an accurate translation or talk on such subjects with great authority, but I hope you can get the drift behind some of the inaapropraite words above and excuse me for my limitations. Take Care

hi debra .. lets bake a cake , you have to start by having the receipe, next you have to buy the ingredients , followed by your activity of mixing them together , then you will bake them .. lastly you will enjoy the tasty cake ... i do not know much answers but i will try to reply to us as much as i can ... there has to a "God" as nothing comes to life by it self .. eg. without you wanting a cake there is no cake God the "trigger" factor .. without the heat, your cake is just a raw mixture God expects us - what do you want debra, a tasty, delicious, sweet cake Or not well made cake, you decide ... God judges us - i believe before serving the cake to the family, you would like to taste it first, if not good, you might consider making another or not serving it God listening to us - i believe if you "listen" or follow the receipe carefully, the product/cake might turn out good Debra .. are u the God to the cake .. because it wants to be what you want ??? cheers
