My daughter has severe neck problems from being at PC at work all day. I don't know what effects it has on the eye's ,but I would imagine over time it will hurt them too... Wow you better use that two hr. break to get out and smell the roses. Stretching will help your body.

No I dont think so as I spend more than 12 hours in front of computers & more than 3 hours in internet. Now adys all works one have to do in front of computers & everyone is habituated with it. And most importantly any kind of work we do some sort of injury whether physical or mental or pshycological is associated with it. So just forget it & enjoy your time in net..Happy mylotting...

Hello friend, I read it somewhere that after every 20 minutes you have to take a break from staring at the computer screen and even after that, doctors do not recommend sitting in front of a computer for more than an hour or so every day. having said all that, I have been in front of a computer for about 5-6 hours daily for the last three years and I do not face any problems related to my vision as yet.

You need to take a break every 20 minutes or so and "stretch" your eyes and your shoulders and your back. How soon and how drastically the hours in front of the computer effect your health depends on how active you are when you're not in front of the computer. 4 or 5 hours straight on the computer can give you "mouse wrist" severe damage to the shoulder and neck muscles, and may permanently damage your vision. At least the modern computers don't emit radiation so that's one good thing.
