I was reading discussions today and I just couldn't follow them because of the grammar. I don't mean the English was bad. The person writing it was from the US. I mean I couldn't understand it because it was in texting abbreviations. Are you a culprit of posting discussions or answers in texting format? I can't stand it. Even when I text I mostly type the words out. It's hard enough to get what people mean when you read what they write because you can't tell when they are sarcastic. I hate texting writing because I am too lazy to learn it and it just looks like poor grammar to me. I think maybe you just can't spell. The only ones I use is the lots of laughs, or hahaha. Other than that OMG is the biggest one. Are you guilty of text writing? Do you respond to discussions using text writing?

The only time I use text writing is when I am texting and even then I try not to. If I am in a hurry it is okay but otherwise I prefer English

I am glad I am not the only one that prefers English. I thought this might be the wave of the new English language. We can all beep and burb and blop at each other.

Unfortunately, I think that this IS the new English :( We will eventually revert back to caveman days when everyone will just grunt!

haha Mommaj, lol means laugh out loud, anyway you are quite close with your lots of laughs. It's quite to use short texting format for mobile phone, and online gaming. Since it saves time, and money. The only thing is that mylot pays for longer posting, so it's better to write out in full, rather than use short form. I think you better return to Stone Age, modern living is too fast for cave women oh! If not, you have to take up a degree in text messaging oh.

I signed up for online class in texting. I've been standing on the same line in my cave and nothing has happened. I am going to ask for my money back. I think it's a scam!

haha, you can learn texting by playing online game. I used to play this water margin online, and all players use text format. It's so fun to see how someone starts to use a new short text, and then it becomes very popular. Let me see, you go in and say you want pk, then see what happens oh! Just dont ks in game, otherwise everyone scolds you oh.

LOL - that's about it for me I still don't understand all that text stuff and it's just as easier or easier for me to just spell it out. Actually I thought that was against myLot rules. May want to check into that if it's one particular person doing this may want to suggest not doing it if you find it is against the rules. Personally I have seen very little of it but then I pretty much only respond to 'friends' discussions - thank you dear for not using text format :)

LOL. I am either not young enough or not intelligent enough to use text format. LOL I also unfortunately do not speak foreign languages. I took Latin in high school. Did great but don't remember any of it. A guy a couple responses up admitted to doing it. I haven't been on any of his discussions so I checked his discussions out and he wasn't lieing, he's a culprit. LOL I will just go with I'm not young enough to use text formatting. LOL
