Luxury goods:are they worth to buy?

Nowadays I find more and more people around are keen on buying luxury goods for their well known brands and so-called high quality.However,these products are much more expensive than normal products.Some would even spend their whole month's salary to buy just a bottle of perfume,or a slap-up dress,etc.
So what do you think?Are they worth that much?Do you think it is reasonable to consume those luxury goods?

Luxury goods are for rich people, that's my simple understanding. Some people don't have enough money but they still keep on buying these stuff to show off or to make themselves to higher status of society (they think they can). To me, luxury goods are meaningless, I just need something and go to supermarket then buy it. That's all.

That is exactly what I think.I don't need these luxury goods and ofcourse they don't worth that much to me.But some people will choose them and that has nothing to do with me.

I know that, but there's some satisfy feeling that I can't describe if i buy those luxury goods. It makes me happy and of course not everyday I buy those things,maybe about once a year..and I will keep it in my cupboard, wait for the special moment to use it. It makes me happy because I can buy those things! yes, this is what we called brand-image. but sometimes the quality of those luxury things really good in fact. It's not important but personally it gives me a little happiness^^,, nothing wrong with have 1 or 2 luxury goods..it can motivate us^^,,

I don't agree on buying luxury goods that's worth a month's salary. It's just unpractical to be paying much on items that you cannot digest and make you survive. For me, luxury items are only for rich people that cannot think of anything else where they can spend their money on.
Maybe the only luxury item that I would be willing to buy are jewelries and watches. At least I can pawn them when I'm short of cash.

Luxury goods are worth buying if you are sure that it will make you happier than the normal - BIG TIME HAPPINESS!
And of course, luxury goods are worth buying if you have the money to spend. Don't be a hypocrite! You can not afford then don't buy.

There are some items that might be better to buy if they are high quality but there are other items that it those not matter if you buy the store brand. With my low budget I have to buy whatever I can afford but I try to buy good quality of clothing because most of the low quality just does not work for me. It is not that I want a specific brand but I know that most of the low quality brands of clothing after the first wash the cloths will either shrink or discoloration.
