I'm too lazy that I'm afraid I'll die early...

...of headache. These past few months, I am really lazy. My room, right now, is completely messy. The only area spared by my laziness is by the door so that I could open and close it easily. The laundry is still in the hamper. Although I can just send a message to the shop to come and get my laundry so it could get done, I still am lazy to do that. Same story goes with my academics, extra-curricular work, and even eating. The cough and cold I have now even made it worse. I'm losing my determination to even continue living. Can somebody enlighten me? I need to wake up from my long slumber.

It sounds like perhaps you are not simply lazy but may be also suffering from some sort of depression because the way that you have described the situation seems as though you have little interest in life generally. How long have you been feeling this way?

Well, I've been wanting to stop going to school ever since the start of High School although there's no valid reason.

Every work that is done will never go in vain. I really suggest you to get a job that really meets nice people. Involve very actively in your talent. When fame knocks you, you will really don't know the meaning of the word lazy.God bless.

Well, err, I'm still a student. On the other hand, I tend to lose interest pretty easily so I'll try to stick with your advice.

The way you said that you need to wake up from long slumber was very cute. In my opinion, you have been working or studying very hard and you need a rest or a week's vavation. Plan out your budget and go on a vacation where you can relax a little. If you will continue like this then you are not going anywhere.

Friends told me that too. However, I cannot afford to have a vacation this month and the next month and the next month... because of the tight schedule. Well, I believe I indeed need a vacation. I'll try to squeeze my brain out 'cause I now have some vacation planning to do.

LOL - What makes you think that you will die early because you are lazy? - LOL. Don't owrry you can get over this habit if you wish to. Take a resolution not to postpone any of your work (techniaclly procrastination) and guess what you can involve your friend/room mate into it to. Everytime one is off schedule the other reminds about the resolution - you see people love criticizing others ;P But you can overcome this habit only with determination and a good partner - All the best - keep us posted about it all :)

wake up! lazy a**! are you sure you are just being lazy? because you sounded like someone with mild depression. are you depressed about something or someone? is this laziness inherent to you or you just don't feel any zest in life. try to see the root cause of your laziness. if you are inherently lazy, then do something about it. don't be a bum! if you are depressed, then i suggest you get some good counseling. i suggest that you discipline yourself. get up lazy butt and do something productive each day. list goals that you want to accomplish and try to do it. the only thing that's hard to do is the start. the rest will be just peanuts!

Oooh. Bathing is the only thing I cannot be lazy about. I need to be presentable in front of my colleagues and professors most of the time because of presentations and recitations.

Ha.. I certainly think that you won't get a lot of things done but you won't die early because of that.. Funny the way you said it, LOL .. I have my lazy moments too at times and I'm wondering like how I can get out from that lazy slumber. I think this small tip can help in certain ways. Try making a timetable like the days that you are supposed to do things and clean up your room and etc. On days that you are not doing all this, you can laze around, relax and listen to the music. Try this small routine. It might help a bit..

Hey same pich. Even i think of the same thing because i dont workout or do any exercising even when i get time. I feel too lazy to play or exercise. I play many games though i am not an expert in any. But nowadays i am not even willing to play because of my laziness. What can i do?? Do you have any suggestions? If you come to know any good idea just let me know how to motivate myself.

Don't worry too much. we all have similar experience in our life. sometimes we are cheerful, sometimes we are very down. for you i think you need outside power to pull you out this situation. try to contact your friends, or maybe your parents. of course to call them you need to overcome your laziness. or maybe you first to clean up your room, to remanage the funiture. or paint your room in another color, it will make you feel you have new life. never give up. try to cheer yourself up. i wish you can understand how good to be alive in the world.

wow i suggest not being so lazy would solve the problem. get a active job. mine future job is a sitting job. and my room as well is a little messy and i sit in this chair making money all day. so i'm afraid to die early as well. and i'm sorry just think about all the good that you have in your life in not the bad. living life will become fun eventually don't give up on it so quickly. try talking to a professional or a close family member that knows you better. you probably bring so much good in this world just try to think about all the people you could help if you stay alive.

That makes me half of what you're lazy at...but i still do chores, and manual laundry as well. and i thought i was the laziest, damn it! you broke my record. well, i guess you need a boyfriend to cheer you up or have some one to talk to. think about the good things, maybe from there, you might discover something. have nice day.

I think you just need a little time for yourself. take 30 minutes and go for a walk or even a ride just to take your mind off things and this will make things alot easyer on yourself.

i think what you need is an inspiration to keep moving on! you need something or someone to get you alive and excited for the day so that you wouldn't feel empty and bored. sometimes i also feel lazy that i don't wanna move or do things. hmmmmm.. you can hang out with your friends if your bored try new foods if you don't wanna eat the same stuff you're eating over again or do something new. ^_^

I think you are over loading yourself. As I learned from other responses you are still a student and so have a time table to study each and every subject and you will feel relaxed after completing each step.If possible invite your friends for group study and their presence will charm you and you will feel refreshed more. Also go for walking in the early morning which will trigger your brain.Cheers!

I share your feeling of being squeezed in a inferior position, from material environment, physical status, daily diet, to academic endeavors. We were in similar situation, esp. in poor living conditions. Over the last decades, average area per capita has been increased from 6 square meters to two digit. But even in the past years, we managed to make a palace out of slums, carefully refined and well cleaned. The only way is to collect your inner power, start to do something concrete, say, change a hairstyle. You will find a different yourself.
