food from yogyakarta average taste sweet. for those of you who have visited in Yogyakarta, what food you like in Yogyakarta?

yeah, most of yogyakarta and java food taste too sweet. i was born in west jawa but growing up in sumatra, so i prefer to eat sumatra's food. but it's not really a must for me. i still can eat gudeg, and others food from yogyakarta. as long i didn't eat that sweet tasted food everyday.

my husband also sumatra people, he prefers spicy food. but he loves to eat gudeg.

gudeg is sweet, and i can eat that too, but if i eat gudeg every day or too much it's make me nauseated. not just gudeg or other sweet tasted food, but also cheese too.
