In this time and age, i know it may seem impossible for a person who has become techie-dependent to go on a full week without his cellphone. Just the thought itself may bring you shivers down your spine. It would be really hard but I think I can do that. We have long survived before without a cellphone, I'm sure we can be capable of surviving without one, even for just a week. How about you? Do you think you can survive without your phone without going bonkers?teehee... :)

I can it... i love camping and i try to stay technology free during these times. i usually have to take my cellphone with me, but only because my mom worries about me too much... whenever i tell her that there are bears there she freaks out and makes me take my cell phone with me... so i just call her once a day from there to tell her i'm alive lol

Just came back from my trip last night... good news, i had no service there, so i turned my phone off :) it was so good not to have the stupid thing on me... I told my mom ahead of time that there is a chance i'll not be able to call her, so she was ok...

I know now I can survive without a cell phone, I am trying to decided what to do with my prepaid cell phone, and because the company that I have discontinue their free bonus minutes program I have at least 15 free minutes and a couple more days to decided if I keep only my texting or if I add the cheapest prepaid plan that they have. I have been out without a cell phone and made it tho

Hi there karenrosesalazar! I believe that I can survive a week without my cell phone. I have survived 17 years of my life living without a cell phone. Yes, I am somehow dependent on my cell phone but I think there are other ways to communicate aside from the use of the cell phone. I think I can manage.

I would say no, because people will be looking for me since mobile phone is the way I communicate with my loved ones. It is a necessity, basic, I would say. It feels like having my limb torn; feeling helpless and crippled. hehehe. Yes, I am exaggerating of course but you get the idea. Having a mobile phone has become a part of my daily routine and without it, my day is not complete.

Yes, i see what you mean. Once i went out and forgot my phone in my other bag. It was horrible because I was supposed to meet up with some of my friends from college and I wasn't able to meet up with them because I got lost on the way. LOL. I couldn't text or call them because I only realized then that I forgot my phone.

Hi Karen, yes I can survive without cellphone. I am sure I will be so relaxed in that condition, no one to disturb, no one to tell whats going behind me. That would be a great experience.

LOL. Yeah. In some way , that would be bliss, especially if you are leading a very hectic life. A little vacation in a beautiful island resort wothout cellphones and worries can be good for the body and soul. :)

I do think that I can survive a week without cellphone. I can always use the phone in the house and stuff if I need to call someone. In my line of work, I also often use my computer to contact clients and stuff. I seldom use my phone to access the internet because I always carry my laptop with me. I know a couple of people though that will go crazy without their cellphone. They make it seem that their phone is somewhat an extension of themselves or something.

I have cell phone but only for emergencies. I have used it twice and do not give out the number to anyone except my best friend and one family member and they know not to call on it unless it is urgent. So yes I can and have gone without my cell phone for months and months.

yeah i think so. I've tried it when I lost my phone. But when I have the phone like now when I leave it at home, I usually feel there's something missing. I feel incmplete.

I can and I have. I think the only reason I keep mine up now, is that I have a teenager and like for him to be able to get in touch, if need be. Not that he would ever actually call for anything (being a guy and a teenager), but it makes me feel better knowing he has one. I get tired of the whole phone thing everywhere I go these days. Used it too much for work as well as personal I think!

No chance that i can lite without mobile for atleast a second. I had very bitter experience when i lost my mobile, where i was getting so many official call's.:-(. Even now i am responding to ur discussion through mobile only. I get very excited n tensed when i won't find it around me for a second, if this is the case with second's then about a week's without mobile is far away..

Yup. I've gone for a week in the past without using it. It wouldn't be any different now. Cellphone addiction is nowhere near me. Cellphone are mostly addicted by lovers and business men. Other than these people i don't think anyone else will miss the Cell Phone.

If I'm not living away from my mom and I'm not working, I think I can survive without a cell phone.

My cell phone is an iphone, and my PDA. I call it my brain, so I definately could not live a whole week without it.

I actually couldn't! My hubby works away monday to friday so he rings me when he can talk and of course i'm not always at home. Also my kids go to a childminder 2 mornings per week when I work so I want to know that she could contact me should anything happen. I worry too much but thats just me!

I believe that I could easily go without my cell phone for a week or more. I usually forget to charge it or take it with me. My husband and parents insisted I get one when our youngest was born in case of emergency. I had one before but never used it much either and didn't see the need for it and the cost of not using it. My husband on the other could not last an hour without a cell phone, he has it on and in hand or pocket 24/7. He would be lost without his text messaging and phone. If my internet was lost then that would be hard to handle for me but no cell phone would be a breeze.
