Happy Anniversary to me (NOT!)

Today would have been my 15th anniversary with my first husband. We were married in 1994 & divorced in 1997. I can also remember the date that I bought my truck because it was on his birthday in 2000. Up until probably about 5 years ago, I still knew his Social Security number as well. Do you remember special dates from people that you use to be with?

You have got to let go. Move on. There is plenty of other dates to remember. I do not remember those dates - unless need to, and an ex-boyfriends birthday or so, I really do not want to remember, unless we are still friends. I mean - what is the point to remember it, though?

I'm not hanging on to anything & I have moved on. I've been with my current husband for nearly 13 years. I'm just really good with dates & I remember a lot of people's birthdays. The secretary at my work is always amazed. I even know when her ex-husband's birthday is because I know 3 other people with that same birthday. Even her own 3 adult children can't remember their father's birthday.

I was married and divorced twice, but can't remember most of the dates, for sure. BUT I can remember the number that my first husband had when he was in prison when I was writing to him and getting to know him. Shouldn't that have been my clue?? DUH!!!!!

STOOPID.........dates.......I remember both of their birthdates, but the first is the father of my children, poor them!

Yeah, I remember all of my exes birthdays. But then I can also remember the birthday of my best friend from kindergarten! But yes, I remember anniversaries from past relationships as well. I don't normally realize it on that day since I'm not always fully aware what the date is each day! But if I do happen to realize it on the day, I always wonder about how different my life would be if I were still with that person.

I’m glad I am no the only one that holds on to memories like that! I think it is perfectly natural actually because they are part of your life.
I received a call from my mother on the 26th March this year telling she ran into my ex husband and how great it was to catch up with him after so many years.
I reminded her that this particular day would have been our 26th wedding anniversary had we stayed together. How is that for a coincidence?

great question. do i remember special dates from people i used to be with. well no not really. i'm talking no in a realationship with a guy and girl but yes in a realationship with friends. i've only had a few number of boy friends in my life even though i don't think i should be dating this young. well with my ex-friend i remember her birthday is on christmas the only friend i knew whose birthday was like that. i also remember because i would always get her one present. it was double the money i would spend on a christmas present so it was ok.

Yeah. The guy I was seeing before Hubby (it was more of a fling than a relationship, and yes Hubby knows the whole story) was born on July 1st. I can remember that because July 1st is also Canada Day, an ironic birthday since he was actually from somewhere in the Middle East. LOL
