Dose a person whom go into the reserves such as army reserves earn at least 20,000.00 a year from that source of employment? the reason I ask is my guy is considering joining the military and i think it will help him grow more as a men and a head of house hold. But from what i hear he will not earn that much money. I just want to know if he is going to earn at least the same he would make at another low paying job. because then with the extra money from that we maybe able to achive our goals and he get the training he so desires.

No he won't. Reservists 'work' only one weekend a month and then usually a two week training period some time during the year. If he gets called to be deployed somewhere then he would be full time and making whatever his rank makes as a full time member of the military. If I recall correctly, I took home less than $200 on the weekends (one weekend a month mind you), and a few thousand for the two weeks during the year. Granted I was only an E-4, if he stayed in a long time he might make considerably more, but promoting within the Reserves is usually slower than it is among the Active Duty ranks.
