How much did you expect to earn on Mylot?

Reading a discussion about another site, I realized that we all walk into money making sites with certain expectations. For instance, when I join writing sites, I expect to earn a stack of pennies only after I create a ton of articles. Part of that is based on experience with the print market, and part of it is my expereince with other sites. When I joined Mylot, I had low, really low, expectations for the earning potential. In my mind, it was going to be on the level of the income I was making from survey sites; let's just say I wasted a lot of time on those and leave it at that. I must admit that I have been surprised by my earnings here. I am still make more money working on my regular writing than I do here. But I actually earn enough here to make sure that I remain active here. Plus besides the direct earnings, often I get article and blog ideas here, so there is also the indirect earnings. And Mylot is definitely better than some of the social earning sites that I have joined (remember Yuwie). So how much did you expect to earn when you joined Mylot? Is it more or less than you actually earn? And did it impact your decision to stuck around?

I didn´t expect anything as I joined to help a friend who wanted a referral. It took me little time to discover that I wouldn´t get rich here and about the same time to see that I would have lots of fun and would learn a lot. Many times I have accepted a mylot friend only to reach out for a map to see from what part of the world my friend was. I have trade recipes with people from the other side of the world and they have opened my mind to their beliefs. I tried Yuwie for one hour and it was not for me. I can say here: this is my site! The money (always welcome) is here a side benefit. Happy posting

I am hoping to see my first $10, but at the rate I am going, perhaps only next year. I am not able to find referrals. My friends don't really dig discussion. So, there is not really much for me to do to earn faster. How much I really want to get from here? I am not quitting my job for this.

Hi Morgan. I don't remember how much I expected to earn, but I'm pretty sure it was more than I make now. LOL I certainly wasn't expecting to become rich from it, but as I was pretty much new to money making sites at this point my expectations were higher than yours. However, that hasn't discouraged me from sticking around, because I've been a active member of mylot for over 2 years now. I may only make a few pennies a day, if that, but that's not what keeps me coming back. What can I say, I enjoy mylot, the interaction and the discussions it brings. As far as yuwie goes, I recently closed my account. But not because of the low earnings, but because of the fact that we can search for others by their real name, and I'm just not comfortable with someone finding me that way. Happy mylotting!

Really? Gee, I might have to log onto Yuwie and close my account also. I just quit logging in, abandoning the account---but it is still there.

Yep, really. There's a search button towards the top of the page. Try it and see for yourself. You don't even need to log in.

I am new to MyLot and am still learning. To be totally honest I don't have high expectations since I am still finding my way around. It does seem to at least be a fun place to visit and have a chat but I am a bit hesistant still. :)

well like most i didn't really expect to earn a whole lot. but in my opinion is if i earn anything then it was more than i had when i started. So I'm working on it and hoping for some at least decent payouts sooner or later.

When I started, I had a system in place, but with people making bogus discussions or placing links in my discussions and things like that, it held me back for awhile! I also worked on getting referrals and trying to get them to stick! But, I had pretty high expectations, higher than I should have! But with all of that being said, I cashed out within my first week and a half, so that kept me going, but I slowed drastically cause it was too time consuming and I was under a time limit and it wasn't pumping hard enough! I haven't cashed out since, but it's picking up! I've been here more often lately cause I post tasks for members to complete and while I'm here, I'll post a few comments and start discussions! So it's cool, I'm in a better position and I now have 14 referrals and half way to cash out! Mylot is still good and I expect to cash out at least once a month now! Taripre$

I didn't expect very much on mylot when I first joined. I just hope I could make earnings each month and pass the minimum paout every month because seeing the paid is so low... really cannot expect too much on mylot...

I used to be a member last year in mylot but I find it hard to earn much here (or maybe i'm just to lazy to do this before. lol) But since I thought that it's like any other money making sites that needs patience to earn good, I got back and I don't expect from too much from this now, I just want to express my ideas and enjoy posting my opinions here :)
