Anyone Else Having Problems Rating?

When I joined myLot, I was told that I should rate other people's discussions and their answers to my discussions. I was told that "+" ratings would help them earn money. I'm not sure what a "-" rating does, but I haven't tried to rate anyone that, anyway. I also try to start interesting discussions and respond to other people's discussions with good answers, so hopefully other people will rate me a "+", too. I have been on this site for three days now. The first two days, I rated without a problem. Today, however, when I click on the "+" it says that it is rated, but when I go back into the discussion, it is unrated again. The ratings from the first two days are still there, though. Either people are going to be making a lot of money from my hitting the "+" for their responses numerous times or my ratings aren't going to count at all. Personally, I hope the first one is true, but I suspect it probably isn't. I was wondering whether or not anyone else is having the same problem. Is it a glitch on the site or just on my computer? Does anyone know how to fix the problem if it is on my computer? I tried logging out of the site and closing out of the browser, but it didn't help.
