Here at myLot there are are enormous number of posts on every kind of subjects ,on all kind of topics. But few kind of post enjoy more number of responses .It is like some people respond to some particular post more than others. For me I like to respond to 1.new discussions 2.discussions started by friends 3.no responses 4.top discussions 5.new user. The main thing is the discussion has to be simple ,meaningful, fun, unbiased, friendly ,positive and common. What are your criteria or point that you consider before responding to a post? Or you like to respond to discussion that your friends started ?Do you like to respond to new discussion? Or do you like to respond discussions where the author also responds to you ? Share your valuable insights on the above.

I think its hard to make a useful contribution to a discussion about something that i know little about so i tend to steer clear of them, i would rather say something useful than make an idiot of myself lol

Hi there! I would prefer to post my friends' discussions at the first place. Thereafter, I choose discussions from 'my interest' caption. Sometimes, I respond to today top discussion. The point is that if I can relate to any discussion, I immediately go for responding.

I respond to friends discussion that have my interest and experience and I share advices if the discussion is a problem. My friends discussion is my priority, then from Mylot Digest, then from new users. Everyday I visits that 3 category I have mention. I like to respond to new users discussion that I have my interest because I like to support them here in Mylot. I like them to feel that everyone is friendly and everyone is willing to give their share to make the discussion with quality. So that when this new users became old like me, they will do that to new users too and vice versa. I am doing this, because this is the treatment I received here in Mylot when I was new. And that is the reason why I stick to Mylot.

I usually check out discussions on 'travel' first because it is my favorite topic. There are other places such discussions could be like 'traveling' and 'travel the world'. Other discussions can be very interesting like 'enjoy life' and 'life'. Things I know about that I like include 'kids', 'baby' and 'dogs'. It is great to look at 'friends started'. If I can't find anymore great discussions I go for 'my interests' and superb discussions are sure to be there.

Hi sarojInc! I respond to as many discussions possible. Well, especially now that I have enough time for myLot. I respond to new discussions. I also respond to discussions started by my friends especially so that I get notices through my email that they have started discussions. I also respond to discussions started by new users to help them enjoy their stay here on myLot.

i like posts that are easy to respond to. although some mylotters like challenging posts i don't have time for that. i have a toddler who bugs me every once in a while so thinking deep is not something i can do .

My answer is in your discussion itself. I respond to discussions just the way you mentioned. If there is any discussion unresponded and if it comes to my attention, I try to respond to it. But sometimes if I don't understand or the subject is beyond me, then I give it a miss.

I would like to respond to discussions where I know something about the discussion and then I feel confident about that discussion and I run all thoughts in my mind before posting any kind of response about that particular topic. I think my contribution to the whole discussion should be a meaningful one and it should atleast serve the purpose of the topic in a small way. Nothing else.

I respond to discussions where I think there is something I have to say. IOW, if I do have an opinion of consequence then I enter the discussion. The way I have entered discussions have also increased some of my "interests" inadvertently. That is one benefit of entering "new discussions". Though some brilliant ideas occur to me to start some new discussions, often they evaporate in the course of my work- day. I feel I should keep a diary [I used to keep a dream diary in those days [some 6-7 years ago] of the ideas that occur so that I could turn them into discussions either here on mylot or may be toss them over on Facebook, but I don't get to doing that. Some of my observations on management that occur, I would like to discuss with the community at large that I have here, so that I could turn them into full-fledged articles, thus answering the nagging need that is put on me, to submit Hindi articles for our house magazine, but I simply don't get to doing it.Hmmph!

Hi Saro. I have a lot of curiosity, so many different types of discussions interest me. I try to respond to friends' discussions, new users, sometimes a news article, and basically anything of interest that does not put down others. Karen

I'm not too picky on what I want to read or respond to. I browse through as much disussions as I can, it's almost overwhelming at times...and I'm still sort of a newby here! I'm not always feeling the same way, so my mind is thinking differently each day, so I like that I can find mature polotical outcries one day and voice my opinion on what I think about tattoos on another. Perhaps I seen an awesome video on how the brain functions and want to share my story and get views, there's a health section. There's something for all interests. I have found that just determining why using paper clip vs a staple can be something to consider when you want to create a professional report. How to save a friendship and what flavor of icecream is better than the other. LoL thx Mylotters for making this site what it is! I think we should all read something new all the time. Switch it up and see what others are thinking in different discussions. Happy Mylotting:)
