It is really terrifying to witness an accident just happening before your eyes. Although I have not seen any I heard my husband narrating an incident he just saw on the road where a motorist was run over by a speeding bus and the motorist lost his life on the spot with a bleeding head injury and face totally disfigured. It was such a sympathetic scene even to imagine and I would have lost my sense if I had witnessed it. Have you ever come across any such incident in your life? How did you feel about it in case you saw one?

I want to say yes, I saw an accident happened in Canada. A fat well-dressed woman was hit by a car when she was crossing the road. She looked going to somewhere like party or dating. Once the car hit her, she flied to about 5 feet away. She was just as heavily as I mentioned, I knew it is not a little accident. She was lying on the floor. Her head couldn't stopped bleeding, the clothes were broken. I was just so sudden that my cousin and I couldn't think about anything until a man went to her and shouted, "Call 911!". We wait until an ambulance came and took her away. Another time, my friend was hit by a car. We all saw things happened. We shouted "don't". Things like being slow motion until the car hit him and he felt onto the road. Luckily, the car was stopped and just hit him a little bit. I seems that I always saw car accident happened (XD) In my opinion, it is not a good thing to see any. Wish you best luck=]

I witnessed such an incident three days back.As usual I used to travel by car. But on 30.07.09 thursday my vehicle were not available for me and I boarded a bus. I have to travel about seventy Kilometres and after crossing the city limits the bus got accelerratd. I was litle afraid of the speed. After passing some 30 kilometres one old man of about 65 years of age suddenly crossed the road and the driver could not save him. He suddenly applied the break but the bus hit on the old mans head . He was bleeding , there was no movement, no breathing and he lost his life on the spot. I was seeing all these and for sometime I was not able to speak or move. It was a sad day for me

I have never witnessed an accident happening, but I have seen some spots just after the accident. It is very horrible to view accident spots. I saw a women in blood one day when I was returning from school. Later, I heard that the women tried to cross the road to go to the medical shop on the other side of the road. Soon, a lorry came and hit her. I hate to watch accident spots. The scene will remain in my mind for somedays and it hurts me mentally and physically. Physically in the sese, I will loose apetite and won't talk much during that time.

I've only had two accidents happen right in front of me. One was where a man on a motorcycle crashed his bike right in front of my school bus. Luckly my bus driver was able to stop before running over him. The second crash I saw was a semitruck hit a median and started on fire. The truck driver was able to get out of the truck before he was seriously hurt.

One morning many years back, I was driving to work when I witnessed an accident right before my eyes. I was waiting to turn right into an expressway at a traffic intersection. There were two right turn lanes. I was the 2nd car on the 2nd lane, behind another car. Right upfront on the left lane was a truck. The driver in front of me must have thought that there were no cars coming from the opposite side as it was usually a quiet intersection. Also his view must have been partially blocked by the truck on his left. So he went ahead even though the truck didn't proceed. When he was halfway out on the intersection, another car coming from the opposite side slammed into the left front door of his car. There was a very loud bang and the car got displaced to the right upon the impact. The driver was totally stunned because he probably didn't know what hit him. The accident happened very fast. He sat dazed in his car for a whole two minutes after the impact. Luckily he wasn't injured, but watching it happened right in front of me really gave me a big scare.

I saw a woman lose control of her car and hit a guardrail. She had three small children in the backseat, and I think they might have distracted her and caused her to lose control. Fortunately, none of the children were hurt, but she was pretty banged up. She had cuts on her face and a head injury for sure, but she might have had other injuries as well. Other people stopped but nobody seemed to know what to do, so I tended to her and made sure the kids stayed calm while we were waiting for the police and paramedics. She lived just a few blocks away from the accident, so as soon as I knew she was alright with the paramedics, I went and told her husband what had happened and where they were taking her and the kids so he could meet them there.

I experience one, I was inside the car, front seat beside driver. That was Sunday morning, we were about to go to a swimming pool, when suddenly a boy run across the street. It happened very quickly, we hit the boy. He was totally conscious, he screamed, and he cried. People started gathering, some were just watching, few were starting to help the boy. Luckily we weren't speeding, so he didn't get serious injury, I couldn't imagine if we were speeding, maybe we could have killed the boy :( His forehead was bleeding, and he got leg injury. We took him to hospital (and he didn't stop screaming and crying all the way to hospital), and he was hospitalized for about 1 week. We were shocked, and afraid by that time, but by helping the victim, hearing that the victim was recovering and able to do his activities as before, and we were forgiven by victim's family... it helped us to get over it. Second one I just saw right after the incident happened. 2 motorists were run over a speeding bus. Almost like your husband experienced. I didn't see how that happened, but that was even more horrible than what I experienced myself. The bodies were just lying there, bleeding, under the rain that afternoon, I saw one of the motorist's face, I saw his eyes, and his facial expression. I was shocked, I couldn't take it. I even couldn't sleep or close my eyes for 2 days, because when I did, I remembered his face.

Ive been lucky. I have only seen accidents where there was vehicular damage, not where someone was hurt or killed. I can only imagine how devastating that could be and leave someone open to PTSS.

During college, i saw an accident too. A toyota revo hit the man crossing the highway. The driver is driving fast because it was a national highway and there was no stoplight and no lane intended for walking to cross the highway. The driver did not went back to help the man he hit. He rolled in the highway then stop rolling suddenly few meters away from where he was hit. Blood spread. Many saw the accident and three man checked the man if it was still breathing or not. The man was unconscious and they helped the man to brought to the nearest hospital. It was not a fault of the driver as i clearly seen it because the man crossed the highway even he saw the approaching toyota revo.

I have experience 3 accidents before, first is the accident caused by me but I have been knocked, the second one is rather the carelessness of a friend and the third was my mistake. There was once when I witnessed an accident but that was a quite minor ones and that really don't make a big fuss as no one was injured and perhaps the car is in deep pain thats it.
