Hard to believe he's only 6! Yes, only 6 yrs old! He's GREAT! I wish I had that kind of temperament! He really had a style. What do you think? you know any child prodigies? I wish I did! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1203226/Pictured-Incredible-watercolour-paintings-boy-aged-just-SIX.html

Wow! Those paintings are incredible. He has a long and storied career ahead of him. He could get into any art school right now.

Isn't that the truth - but I would be afraid that a school might try and change him from his "naive" style

This is so much better than the drivel some of the art teachers put out at some of the places I've worked. What is most amazing about this youngster is that he not only has the ability to execute beautiful drawings and paintings, but that he already has his own recognizable style. That is the hardest thing to do in my opinion. Let us all hope that as he matures, adults are not able to suppress this wonderful creativity. Thanks much for a delightful and informative discussion

He is very good I must say. I looked and thought to myself WOW. Now I do not mean to brag but my almost 7 year old daughter can draw also. She draws so fast it would make your head spin. I have thought about posting her drawings online to see if anyone might be interested in buying them. Soon I will start a discussion about it here at mylot and I will try to remember to share the post with you. But yeah he will go great places with his work. I wonder if it is for sale already? Thanks for sharing that and happy mylotting as well.

Wow, what a talented young man and WAY ahead of his time! It's seeing things like this that honestly make me wonder more deeply about reincarnation! Let's hope that no one tries to commercialize and "educate" the little fellow too much.

apparently a family friend has been teaching him, and it seems she has a light touch - I hope they keep up the good work - I think his dad is in the art world, so he might have the good sense to leave well enough alone.

What an amazing artist he is! Only 6 and painting like a pro!!!! I wish I had 1/100 of his talent, because I'm not very good with visual art! A Canadian friend of mine's daughter had a story published when she was just 3. She told it to her mum who typed it, word for word, and it was amazing! She's almost 5 now, and planning on writing her own book! Wish I was that good at writing! LOL

That's really amazing! His pictures are beautiful and I hope he develops his talent. I love the colors and his style! My dad sent me an email about another amazing artist, Paul Smith, who made art with his typewriter. He had cerebral palsy and recently passed away but could do amazing things! If you're interested, you can see the pictures he made with the typewriter here: http://www.paulsmithfoundation.org/index.html

That is a remarkable talent! He sure has a future with his art. I don’t know of any other children with gifts like that one. My seven year old daughter loves to draw and has won a couple of contests. She could learn a lot from his boy; what a talent!

Amazing talent!!!. This boy knows how to paint and he is painting like mature artist with light strokes and incredible balance...watercolor is hard to paint... I do paint in oil, watercolor takes practice and he is doing amazing work.... My daughter was not yet walking but painting with pencil at when 10 months old, she get her first award at age of 4...and next at age of 7...

Those watercolors are truly spectacular--those are definitely not fingerpaintings--I hope that kid keeps his artwork up in his later years. As for child prodigies... *coughs* I did my first oil painting when I was his age...six. My mother was an artist and I used to watch her paint so one day I asked if I could do an oil painting...I guess to amuse me she gave me one of her canvas boards and some paints she wasn't using..viola...I did a still life oil painting..unfortunately I don't have it anymore....lonnnnnnnggggggg story, but was one of many things I had to throw out due to....uh, cat damage
