I wanted to know if I get a new computer will I be cheating if I use the new one to do my gpt sites? The reason I ask this is because most sites record your ip address and I know if I get a new computer than it will be a new ip address? I hope someone knows the answer to this. I really need to know. Thanks and happy mylotting as always.

Your new computer will have a new computer address not a new IP. My company, OzarkPaidMail, would not list you as a cheater as long as you were not trying to use both computers for the same program. All Program owners that are legit would be happy that you get a new computer.

I never had a problem with it as long as you sign in with user name and password.

You will automatically show up as a different computer, that is true. However, on the ip address, if you are using the same internet connection or rather service, then you may still show the same ip. Some services will give you more than one ip address to use, to avoid running into problems there. I had only one time, when i actually had a problem, because, somehow, the ip address came up a second time, and my daughter was logged on at that time.

well, our router assigns our IP address - so when we reboot the router we get a new IP address - I don't think a new computer would be a problem

I would ask the site admin --like start a question about it in a forum and see what they say... and let us know, as I think alot of us could use that answer. I havent had any problems since we have a couple computers...a desktop and a laptop in our house... my son will sometimes get on the desktop so I will get on my hubbys laptop and do some of my online sites... so far this has not been a problem and we are all running off the same modem. good luck with that and let us know!! happy mylotting.
