"No man or woman is worth your tears, and the one who is, won't make me cry."

I saw it from a book. Do you agree? What do you think of it?

I've seen that quote too. I don't know. The one worth it won't deliberatly make you cry. A man that I see off and on has made me cry. He has always been honest with me and I love that about him so much. He is such a decent guy and we will always be friends no matter what. I know him and accept his faults as he does mine. I'm usually pretty strong but once he caught me crying and he felt so so bad. My response was that he should never feel bad...he was worth the tears. I wouldn't trade a moment. Actually...they are all worth the tears....even the abusive husband. We had some good times, I got some beautiful children out of the deal and many much needed life lessons.....no regrets.

I believe that quote has a great message behind it, however when it comes to reality and life, I believe there are and will be cases where the ones you love will make you angry, sad, and cry. It is what happens within those moments is what truly determines the love others have for you.

I'm afraid that I have to agree with you. "love is not determined by the amount of tears you shed, but how well you make your love rid him self or herself of those tears. It is in this case that your love will be the one to make you shed the most because love is a never ending test between two people." James Hogan

I think it's true if you don't take it 100% seriously. Probably everyone you love will make you cry at one time or another...it's just really hard to deal with people. You're never going to get along all the time and there will be frustrations and problems even in the most perfect relationship. However, people who make you cry often are bad for you. If they're not willing to change to save your tears, they're not right for you and will make you cry even more in the future.

I can't believe it but that just might be true in my case. I fell in love with a man when I was 20 and he made me cry and hurt me so many times. I thought he was the love of my life. Fast forward 11 years later I met a new man who I fell in love with and we were together for the past 20 years and he has never made me cry.
