The last Grand Slam US Open is comming up..hope Nadal would be fit and playing in this tournament. This is the only Grand Slam he has not won...do you see him again displaying his best in this tournament and retaining the No.1 spot

No, I don't see Nadal retaining or regaining his world no.1 spot in the near future. Federer is getting back to his best, Murray is improving all the time, and, sadly, Nadal's knees look as though they might become a long term problem, possibly shortening his career and certainly preventing him from fulfilling his full potential.

Nadal recently had faced a major injury which kept him out of Wimbledon. If he recovers and 100% fit then he can win the US open and retain his No 1 spot. But Federer can take away the top spot or even Andy Murray can also take away the No 1 spot. So, fitness and form of Nadal will decide who will be the No 1 at the end of this year.. I am sure that Nadal is fighter and he can retain the World No 1 spot..

I doubt Rafa Nadal will ever be the same player ever again. By all accounts his knees are in a bad way and he will probably have to adapt his game because of that. He has also, just tonight, fallen behind Andy Murray in the rankings and is now number 3. I cannot see him winning the US Open I am afraid as Federer and Murray are both just too strong for him on hard courts and he cannot be properly match fit after being out for so long with injury.

Not so far since he lost early in Montreal but I'm not a fan of his so that may influence my thinking. I'm also not a fan of Federer so I really don't want him to be No. 1 either. I guess the closest I come to being a fan of any of the men is Roddick especially after this last Wimbledon.
