tatooed eyeliner

A friend of mine recently went with her granddaughter and they both had the eyeliner tatooed on their eyelids. I think the effect is very dramatic! Her eyes look so different in a very good way. I wouldn't get it done as I am afraid of infection and I have had troubles with my eyes in the past. Do you have eyeliner tatooed on your lids? If you had extra money would you do it too?

i had thought about it-i have so much problems with allergies to the different eyeliners.it's expensive, but in my case it might be worth it. i would do a lot of research first though,i've seen cases where the ink spread and it looked horrible.

And it has to be filled in from time to time...it's an ongoing process.

Ok let me start of by saying 1 thing and 1 thing only = .I think that says it all..lol. I would never ever let anyone do anything to my eyes.Reading this post, my face must have looked like that emote I used above..lolOMG, tatoo my eyelid..no no noooo... I would either not use eyeliner or use it if I had the time and felt like it, but no one does anything to my eye :-|The infection, the needle, the pain, the horrible infection ( reiterating)..LOL.No thank u. I applaud your friend and her grandma, but no way in hell would I do that.

Sorry about the mix up. I was probably so stunned with the idea of someone poking my eye with a needle that I didn't pay attention to the grandma, granddaughter bit..lol

I have thought about it but not so sure I want someone messing around with my lower lid. I also would be afraid of infection. Am sure it looks great though. I do know an older lady who had it done and it looks great. I also know someone who had tatooed eyebrow pencil on her brows. Looks good as well. i'd be more apt to do the eyebrows than the lids. I have no tatooes anywhere on my body.

I would like to do the eyebrows and under the eyes but am a chicken..lol Our girls all have tatooes and they are all good looking. I wasn't excited when I found out about it but they were all over 18 and paid for them without asking me for the money.

I know several people who have had it done, and love the results. I have heard that your eyes swell for a couple of days, and sometimes the pigment doesn't take well and has to be redone. It also fades after a few years and will need to be redone. I love the idea of waking up and not having to deal with liner, but don't know if I really want to deal with the pain.

I love tattoo's. If I do it would so my eyes can look bigger. Right now if I don't have eyeliner my eyes look like slits to me.

I would be VERY afraid to have someone that near my eyes with needles. What if they sneezed, or what if there was an earthquake. I have also seen a few people with this done, and it was not done well. It looked too think and lumpy. I would rather use actual eyeliner on the days I want to line my eyes. Besides, I like to play with color. I'd hate to be stuck with the same look the rest of my life.

Thinking about ink being injected into my eye area is not something that appeals to me. As you stated, there is risk of infection and other risks as well. What if I got it done and didn't like it? I would never get this done, even if I had lots of extra money. I think it's somewhat disgusting, if you ask me. No offense intended!

Hello! I am so picky so this would not be a good idea for me . I am sure if it looks natural it looks real nice . I know I would only like a med brown or something , but as I said I am so picky and like chances ;) With my luck I would try and soap and water it off , and hurt my eye. My upper lip has some color missing and I thought about just getting that part colored in.

i dont think so it is going to be nice in looks. but may be it looks good on some people. me use eyeliner of so many companies like L18, lakeme and revelon etc but do like only L18 for me. in my case i never think of going for tatoo on my lids actually i do not believe in giving pain to my body in any case. so i will prefer to go for just whatever is available for external use.

Any area near the eye is very sensitive. I think it is dangerous to have it tatooed. I would still prefer the natural look especially near the eye since it is the window of the soul.

It is not as easy to tattoo eye liner as it may seem and it only looks good if someone who can do it right does it. I do not as of yet have it done but it is on my tattoo wish list. My Aunt has had hers done and loves as she hates doing her makeup.

Wow, that's new to me. Never seen anyone doing that yet in my country(Singapore), but i guess i don't do it, i am scared of pain, i don't like tattoos too, why spoil your beautiful natural skin?(no offense to people with tattoo though, that is just my viewpoint :D) Eyeliner tattoo sure looks cool at first, but i think as time goes by, the trend will become outdated ;P Sorry for my bad grammar and vocabulary, happy mylotting :D

My aunties have eyeliner tattooed,,because they think its' simple and practice, no need to use eyeliner everytime they makeup.. You're right,it makes their eyes looks so different! I don't have any plan to do it.. My eyes sensitive and the last time I do make up in salon I cry (not because I'm sad or hurt, but teardrops out from my eyes heavily) so I think I can't stand if I must use tattooed eyeliner.. I think natural still the best, except if you're old & wanna looks a little bit different and don't wanna waste time or have difficulties in using normal eyeliner..

Personally, this is something that I would not do. I am not against tattoos, in fact i have a couple. Tattoo eyeliner fades fairly quickly and you have to keep getting it redone. Not only that, what happens if you want to use a different color. My grandma had it done and also had her eyebrows done. She said it's one of those things she wouldn't have done again. Not to mention it's fairly painful.

Nah, it's not for me. I've seen some people with tattoed lip loner as well. I don't want any kind of needle coming towards my face.

I think it would be a neat idea. But I dunno about the idea of putting a "needle" by my eye if it's not medically necessary. That's one part on my body I definatly do not want messed up.

I love the way my eyes look when I put eyeliner on, but I think I'm too much of a chicken to have a tattoo anywhere near my eyes!! I'd prefer the old fashioned way of just putting on make up.

no, i don't have that done. If i was a young chick i might consider it. i lways wore eheliner back in my young & dumb days. I don't think i would look good now considering these awful bads i have under my eyes now. i'd probably resemble a racoon or worse.

I don't know too much about tatood eyeliner & would never get it done. Sounds good if it's temporary. but what happens once those lids start sagging & the tatoo ink starts turning green ? Hmmm...

Didn't think of that! I always told my kids....if you want to see what a tatoo looks like after forty years look at your grandpa....it was sagging etc....the eyes might be a different thing.
