I am watching right now the funeral convoy of the late Pres Corazon Aquino made me realize how greatful i am that i am a filipino. She makes me really proud to be Filipino.I know that the death of the former president is a wake up call again for us filipinos that we should protect our democracy and a wake up call to politicians that are so griddy with the POWERS.The late President leaves us her legacy as Mother of Democracy.I am not been a loyal supporter by this woman but she touches my heart now.I salute her for what have she done for my country.President Cory Aquino you touch so many lives especially me.You may Rest in Peace.

It is a sad and triumphant time for our country all at the same time. It was sad to see such a good leader, nurturing mother, and a strong woman leave this Earth. But wherever she is, she's already made herself immortal with the legacy she has left behind.

Yes, Cory Aquino's legacy should be a wake up call to all of us that we must love our country. It is our responsibility as a Filipino, and I really admire her courage from day one until the day she passed away. I cannot even help myself to make a blog post about her. The title is Cory Aquino: Thank you and Farewell Madam President and here is the link - http://fatherblogger.com/2009/08/01/cory-aquino-thank-you-and-farewell-madam-president/ I just hope that we can passed on her legacy to the future generation so that our country will grow and our democracy will be maintained. Thanks!

This reminded me of what transpired in 1983. Senator Ninoy Aquino stood for the what the country deserved, a free country, a democratic country. He gave up his life for the country, hence the immortal words "The Filipinos are worth dying for" came to life. It really breaks one's heart that the person whom you have so much respect for, the person whom you supported in the 1986 Snap Elections, the person whose husband's legacy lives, the person whose dignity remained intact even when she became a private citizen is not with us anymore. Let us rejoice that President Aquino is now with the Lord. Goodbye is not the end. Let her legacy and Senator Ninoy's legacy remain in the hearts of every Filipino.

I agree with you brod....like you I never been a follower of her. I only appreciated it when I viewed her accomplishments, heard some testimonies of her closed people, I silently admired her. She deserved to be called a National Treasure and a Mother of our Democracy....
