I'm currently studying in second year majoring bachelor degree of statistic. After one year of study, i found that i don't like my major at all. I hate mathematics and i wish to change to education course. I don't know whether if i should change. I don't think i will do well and have a good future with statistic. It takes 4 years to complete education course and my family depends on my income in future as i am the eldest. I'm now 21 years old. But i am also not sure if education suits me. I can't make up my mind. Help me. Should i change?

do what makes you happy. yes, you should consider the future and how it will affect your family but I think the best advice to give is to follow your heart. If studying Statistics is not for you then don't pursue it. Pursue something else, something that can earn you a good amount but also something that you can love doing. Remember, that in the end it will your duty to yourself to find a job that will make you happy or else, you'll spend your lifetime looking for that one job that will actually fulfill you. If you don't like your major then shift from your course so you'll find yourself smiling.

You'd better not change your major if you're not so sure about whether education course is what you're good at or not. You need make a blueprint of your future and then make a choice.

In my opinion, whatever, choose your favourite, this is my principle.Do you know albatrosses,They don't fly along the wind direction, however, choose direction, byitself. Our life as well,we only have a few years of youth,it is important to how to use our youth! To be honest,we are still young,it is too difficult to do every thing well, but we can do every thing that we will never regret!this will be enough. learn what major is not important, however interest is the most important!!! I hope you find the professional you like it!

you ca't force yourself to love your course if you don't like it. choose a course which interest you. i've been to two courses before i finally decided to persue accountancy. i have no regret even i graduated quite late at the age of 23.

Well, It's a very diffucult situation indeed. You should make a list of everything your good at and bad at. Then start looking through it until you find the thing you would like to do. Another good way is to do the something that has nothing to do with you...

be careful, because if u don't like it, you will make your next 3 years miserable! I don't think that changing your major at these point could bring too many bad consequences. you can change your major to something similar. your are still in time. What did made you chose statistics?

When I first got to college, I thought I wanted to be a pharmacist. Well, I was way wrong. I'm studying accounting now. I was a sophomore when I decided to change and it only set me back a semester, maybe 2. You don't want to be stuck doing something for the rest of your life that you are going to absolutely hate. You should do what makes you happy in life. Sometimes, paying for extra years in school to be happier ends up being worth it in the end.

Hi prince_ss88! Well, I'd like to think you already know the answer to your question. You have to make up your mind! lol:) with regards to changing course, it's alright as long as you are sure this time that the course you're going to shift to is really the course you want and the one you would finish. I'm sure you're going to make the right choice, just make your family as your inspiration:)

I think you should change, because if you continue, your college life will be in Hell. You should for sure stay with education though. Without it, you cant make much money. If you are going to change, what are you planning on changing to?

What i think you should do is continue with your majoring in and stick with it untill you have enough money to go back again you will have more money and your job options will double. thats my opinion hope you figure this out goodluck :))
