What will you do special for your friends at the end of the year?

Hello friends, I'm just wondering what you will do special for your mylot friends at the end of the year? Some people might think about sending a small gift or a thank you card, or something of that nature to their friends just to let them know that they are appreciated. Well it's coming up on the end of the year soon friends, we are only a few more months away. With this being August already, we only have about four and a half more months to go and this year will be over. Can you believe it's almost over already? So why don't we all start trying to generate a few ideas? What would you like to do for your friends, including me:)!

I think i would do a special discussion thanking them all. Really open up my heart to them and be all emotional probably lol. Same i would do that once ive been here for a year, as a sort of celebratory thing! Hopefully i will know them all a bit better too! Mylot would not be the same without all the great people on it! They deserve loads of thanks!

It's funny how sometimes you want to make a response longer but then only a few words come out. But even a few words filled with gratitude and be very touching. Particularly between friends. ttyl

I think it would be a good idea if we can exchange email addresses. That way, I might can send all of my mylot friends an ecard. I also think exchanging mailing addresses is a good idea. However, I am living on SSI, which is a part of social security and I have to use my stamps for paying bills. In other words, I'm living on a small income.
Isn't it amazing how time has flown by so fast? I've started a few discussions about Christmas, as a matter of fact. I used to sell Avon and we used to come out with our christmas books in July. We were also trained to get our customers to thinking about Christmas in July. As a result, I've always done my chrsitmas shopping early. Kathy.

Hey Kathy, thanks for sharing. I'm sure that whatever you decided to do would be very much appreciated. I can certainly understand what you mean about having to use your stamps for bills. As stamps aren't exactly cheap these days but I'm sure that we'll all come up with some very good ways to be creative. Do you still sell Avon? I always did think that Avon had some nice little gifts. What made you stop selling it? Just curious...

I quit selling Avon in 1983. I sold it for six years, too. The reason why I quit was because I was spending more than I was making. You have to pay for everything you order from them, your books, your demos, everything. Also, it was a lot of wear and tear on my car and it was costing me a lot in gas. Both of my parents were living back then and things were a lot different then. Daddy tried his best to get me to quit selling it for I don't know how long. I was stubborn, though. I hated being out of a job, for one thing. I also enjoyed working for myself and being able to work my own hours. I also enjoyed working with cosmetics. I guess it's better to be out of a job than to be spending more than your making, though.
I ran a bookstore for two years after I quit selling Avon. Daddy helped me get started. I had it from 1984 to 1986. Daddy passed away in 1985. As you can see, it was a pretty stressful time for me. I enjoyed running the bookstore but we (I had two girls working for me part-time) didn't do any good so we had to go out of business. I don't like to be so negative but it's hard to have a business these days. We have to face the facts, though. Kathy.
