I went the asian store about 5 miles from my house. When I browsed around there were section for the rice cooker. It look nice and I don't think I know the brand of this particular one ( it might be from Japan or Korea ). I'm thinking about replacing my old rice cooker. I saw the price tag showed the 2 and 5 number I assumed the price is $25.00 I brought it to the cashier and I know I almost chocked when ther girl said it was $250 . I said 250? What is it make, magic rice? or is it coming with the whole year supply of rice?." So I end up not buying that freaking expensive rice cooker. What do you think? Isn't $250 too much for a rice cooker?

Hello, I own one many of those and it never costs more than $100. and the $100 or a little over is for the biggest one, that what I got here... it last long tho if you know how to take care of it. Cook perfectly and can keep the rice for 2 days. I guess it ranges from $100-$150. lolz... $250, that's crazy

$13? Now that's a bargain. I don't want pay over $40 usually. I know every 2 or 3 yrs i always look for a new one. Usually around $25 it's the right price for me.

I think USD250 for a rice cooker is expensive. Here such kind of rice maker is a famous brand, and it can have many features, such as making soup, congee, sushi etc. Then perhaps it will be OK to buy such kind of a rice cooker. If you just want to make rice, you don't have to buy expensive rice cooker. I love China

yes 250$ is too much for rice cooker. i have one rice cooker which costs 25$ in my country and works well from 5 years. i think u have seen any gaint size or most famous brand in ur country . i have seen in one website for rice cooker ,and in it ,its cost is 1044 $. but model is different and big. may be suitable for hotels and restaurents i think.

I've never owned or used a rice cooker but holy crap $250 sounds like A LOT!!! You're right - it must make magic rice! LOL I would definitely price them somewhere else. Maybe try www.amazon.com , you can typically find the best deals on there!

I'm afraid that is way too expensive for a rice cooker. My fiance and I bought one on sale from Argos just last September and it works perfectly fine. Didn't cost that much and it should never be expensive. Try looking up on ebay or at your local appliance store nearby. I'm sure there are others there that sell good quality and affordable rice cookers than that Asian store you've been to. :)
