As we all know that English Premier League will started on August 15. As the opener, Chelsea will play against Man United in a Charity Shield cup. The blues have a perfect record from the friendly games so far. But Man United also have shown their on strength at pre-season match in Asia and home currently. This is the first real test for Ancelotti since he arrived at the Stanford Bridge. He had shown his ability in Italy and champion league before and nobody can argue with his quality. Even Man United manager, Ferguson, believe that Chelsea will be the team to watch for the league championship. Ferguson, on the other hand, is the strategies and master of the game. This has shown his ability by conquering almost every cup available. But with two of his main player out because of injuries, their back is not as tough as before. Van Der Sar and Vidic are the 2 player that make Man United keep the championship cup for three years in row. Who do you think will win this opening cup? The Blues from London or The Devil of Manchester.

I think Manchester United will win this match. I am a loyal supporter of Manchester United. It will be interesting to see how Manchester United will be able to cope up with Chelsea in the absence of Van Der Sar and Vidic. It will also be interesting to see if Micheal Owen comes out with a match winning goal.

Hi deck99, I am also looking forward to see how Micheal Owen play with his new team mate. So far all the goals he score are from pre-season match in Asia. He score two against Malaysia (2 games), each against club from South Korea and China. He fail to score against Valencia. I don't mind if he score again in this match but I hope he will face a drought when premier league started.

Hi ajai, Yes ... Chelsea won it. Even though they won it by penalty but it is enough. First trophy for Ancelotti on his first official (not friendly) match. Congratulation to Chelsea.

i think chelsea will win in that match.i believe the new chelsea's manager carlo ancelotti have strengthen the team well enough to fight not only for the community shield match, but also for the entire season matches.although he prefer to change the formation to 4-4-2, i think it is not a problem.chelsea's players are well-trained enough to play for any formation, not only with 4-3-3 formation.

Hi, I wish the Blues will win the game, as Man united is not my favorite. I am not sure why i do not like Man United. I like the hard style, perseverance of Chelsea. I sincerely wish Ancelotti can take Chelsea to another brilliant glory after Mourinho stage. Happy mylotting!

Hi sutent, Ancelotti might can bring some glory to Chelsea. But we need to look it first since this is his first season with the Blues. Before this, all are also said the same thing about Scolari. But he only manage to stayed for 10 month. It is hard to make assumption base on previous record. But I do hope Chelsea will win this cup.

And your wish come true. Chelsea won it by penalty by 4-1. The game ended with 2-2 draw after last minutes goal by Rooney (it is look like an offside goal). Man United play brilliantly at the first half but Chelsea take control in the second half. They funny thing for me is Ferguson made 4 changes in one go after they felt behind. Micheal Owen can play at his best when Capello is around and his England career can safely said it's over.

Hi akuler, Yes, my wish came true last night. I am glad to witness that happened. From your review on the match, you are really good at. Actually, just like you said, Man United controlled the first half while Chlesea play better in the second half. Watching all the match, i was also impressive by the excellent performance of Cech, the goalkeeper of Chlesea. Without his outstanding goal-keeping, Chlesea may be defeated during the first half. Owen do did not perform well. Just like you said, the door to english national team may be closed after the game. I felt really sorry about him, as he is one of my favorite football stars. Wish he could play well in this Premier league. Have a good evening!

I do have a feeling that Chelsea will have the upper hand and dominate the match. But Michael Owen will be lurking in the defense and poke in a winning goal to win the match. That is just a feeling, but no doubt this will be a titanic match for the preseason.

Hi stormagetz, I also hope that Chelsea win this cup even though I am not Chelsea supporter. Chelsea look like organize again after Scolari era. Even Drogba who always want out from Chelsea commit his future with new 3 years contract. Micheal Owen is a good player and it is shown before. If the midfield can provide him whit chances, he surely can score. Love to see Owen score but definitely not after this games. I don't know if we can see a good performance from both team since this cup usually considered as a warm up stage before the final race. We might see it just like a pre-season match with a lot of changes and trial and error from both coaches.

I am just not sure about having new manager after new manager for Chelsea. Their team is strong, but changing manager too often isn't a good thing at all. Just look at Newcastle. It will be interesting to see how they perform this time.

That is what all the club owner did. They simply changes a manager when they can't bring trophies to their club. I think the first mistake made by Abramovic is firing Maurinho. He think that he can win everything easily within short period. After Maurinho left, the only cup they won is FA cup last year. Maurincho bring 3 league cup and still not suitable. The owners are too greedy sometimes. They thought that just bring one good manager and a few best players can bring them all the trophies immediately. Sometimes they forget that others team also improved at a time or another. I do hope that Newcastel didn't face the same fate with Leeds. If they can't win back the promotion this year, I am afraid they will. They still have a few player that received weekly earning same with the other players from premier league. Since they already lost about BP30 millions, that kind of salaries will bring their account balance to the bottom. After that, they will have to sell all their best players with a much lower price and become a photocopy of Leeds.
