can the rest of the family understand stewie in family guy?

the more i watch family guy the more confused i get because it is only Brian who seems to always be able to under stand stewie i would like your views on this matter to try and clear this up in my head thank you

you know,i'm not sure.it seems like sometimes they can,and other times they can't. the one time he actually started liking lois and was following her everywhere,he started talking to her and she understood. it seems off and on.

Creator of family guy said in an interview with Maxim magazine , years ago , that everybody could understand stewie however , Brian was the only one to take him seriously .

But they never really answer or acknowledge him. They say the odd OK and similar stuff and make baby talk but nothing much more then that.

I think the whole family understands Stewie but just pretends the things he says isn't evil.

I too think that only Brian can understand Stewie. There are a few moments every so often when the rest of the family kind of understands him but it is only when he has said or done something babyish. At first I didn't understand the relationship either.
