mylot.com is for sale.

We would like everyone to know that myLot.com is not for sale. We have no idea why sedo would list our domain for sale, but let us assure you that we are not going anywhere. Thanks myLot

Well I had to see it for myself and sure enough there it is. It never fails as soon as I find something I like its gone. I ll keep my fingers crossed that all will turn out right

I would have to say that this could be only a bidding for the domain name which is going to expire in March... but as we know sedo there could be some truth to it... and maybe MyLot is really for sale!!! I will place a bid for it... I would buy MyLot but i think it will be sold if it`s going to be sold for at least 1 million dollars!!! But if they sell MyLot by the end of next year I will have to say that this will be a great mistake from the owners as MyLot could be worth hundreds of millions if they `ll just invest a small amount next year for another update!!! If MyLot will be sold so soon... I will have to wonder of it`s not something wrong with it!!! This is a money making machine... why sell it??? so soon that is... MySpace was worth 700 mil dollars ... when Tom sold it... MyLot can be worth at least a half of that amount if they keep growing like they are right now!!!

Sites like this are always up for sale. It doesn't necessary mean bad news. Though, usually if the site is losing money, a new owner will make changes to make it a little harder to earn money.

I went to sedo.com to read it for myself, and there it is! It could be good or bad depending on the new ownership. I wonder if it has all gotten too overwhelming for current owners to take care of or if this was their plan all along. It's sad that a good thing never seems to last.

The license for the domain name expires in March 07. I don't know how reliable Sedo is. They may be asking for bids on domain names about to expire. It's a dog-eat-dog world out there in the domain names business. What they are offering seems to be the name only, without content.

Mylot isn't for sale. I checked and this is a result of the domain being for sale a long time ago. The Whois is outdated. There are many domains/web sites that are listed for sale on Sedo that are very outdated. Rest assured! Mylot is not for sale and will contine to grow in my opinion!

this ia a bad news I think, if mylot could make more money, why selling it? there must be some problems which the staff can't solve, so it want to seek other's help.

I think it's a not good new. If mylot.com is on sale, our earning will be lost. Maybe the webmaster wants to reach a high number of visitors for this site, and then sell it to earn a lot of money.

I checked it out on the same site you referenced, it's not for sale, the mylot.com based in Europe is for sale and it is one with no content. So it's not this site that's for sale. Calm down everyone.

is this for real? then i guess mylot is not making enough money for the owners to continue operating it. the big question now is if we get paid when the sale goes through.

I don't really care who owns myLot as long as they keep paying me! Here's an optimistic thought: Maybe the new owners will pay even MORE!

I do not that we have anything to worry about as they have not mentioned anything to the members yet about selling this site. We are still here creating topics and comments and still getting paid since you posted this topic. I am sure they would say something if this site did go up for sale and change ownership.

Oh no! That does not sound like good news at all... I hope mylot is not closing down on us before some of us even get a chance...

Lets hope this is not true the last place i went to that happened and they changed the pement scheme.

It has been 5 months since you posted this discussion. I was not a member of mylot.com then because I only joined in late december 2006. Well, 5 months have passed and mylot.com is still going steady. Looks like we have nothing to worry about still. If we all continue to help make mylot.com a great discussion forum, it will remain good for many years to come. I am all out for the betterment of mylot.com because it is my only paying discussion forum. In fact, it is one of my multiple streams of income.
