Yes, that's right my friends I am now again EMPLOYED! I was called yesterday morning and did the interview. We hit it off like we were best friends. Very good sign. About twenty five minutes later the manager called me back and said I had it. I just wanted to share the good news. Thanks guys for listening to my sadness and complaining. I will be happy to repay the favor anytime you need to talk. I am nosy anyways so I love to listen.lol I will be missing the fact that I wont have all the extre time to chat. Rest assure as soon as I get home tonight from school, I will give you guys a shout out. Thanks my friends. Happy MyLotting. dl

Congratulations. Great news. Not something a lot of people can share right now so it makes it even better. Good for you.

Please do not take what I said wrong. I am very happy to hear that you have your job. And you are right to share your good fortune. If anyone thinks not they just don't count. I mean only what I say. Good for you. I do hope all goes well in your new job.

I kind of wish that I didnt start this discussion. I love to share my good fortune but I am not sure that I like the way this discussion as went. My intention wasnt to rub my good fortune in anyone's face. I hope that all will understand my intention. I have been here for a while now and I hope that the myLotters who have had trouble looking for work, will give themselves a break and realize its the economy not them. THanks for your well wishes. dl

Hello dloveli, Congratulations on getting a new job! It is hard nowadays if you are unemployed and need to support the family. I hope the new job will at least ease your burden and whenever you have extra time to be here, drop by and let us know the good news!

Thanks for the well wishes gr8life! I know what you mean about it being hard. I have been unemployed since May. My fiance has been a lifesaver. He has suffered financially. He has paid for everything and I love him so much! I pray for every one in hopes that their financial situations can come to a minimum at least. I am thankful that I have been lucky enough to have been able to get employment. Let me just tell you I am so glad that I had to wait until this job. It fits perfect! Everyone there before they even got to know me told the manager how cool I seemed. I am touched. Thanks again. dl

Thanks Happy! I know how you are feeling. I was out of work since May. I must have filled out 150 literal applications. YUK! I have completed my first week and I LOVE IT! I was so depressed. The job is perfect fit. I was dreading the fact that I may have to work at a gas station, or McDonalds. No offense to anyone. I am in my late thirties. Usually young teens are starting at entry level. I would have taken anyting. However having a job in the field that I am going to school for is awesome!. dl

Congratulations! That is great news. I know how you must have been feeling because that is where I am at right now - looking for a job. The old days are gone. No longer can you find a job the first day, or within your first week of looking. Employers have downsized, done layoffs, or use these rediculous tests coupled with applications to make it harder for you. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to waitress/bag groceries and yet,now you are required to take this pschology test with 225 questions of the same questions repeated only reworded. It is not right, but that is what is going on. Again, congratulations with your new job.

Congratulations, dlvoeli! I have a similar experience as well. It is tough to find a job here, and I think to have a job is much different. We are going to have another daily routine, and to face the any problems we have. For me the first salary makes me feel a adult, please tell us how do like on your first day in your work. Thanks for sharing!

Congratulations on your job! I love when interviews go so well like that. I recently got a job and had the same experience. I felt GREAT leaving the interview. I had to wait 4 days before finding out the good news, though. I wish you luck in all you are taking on. Don't forget to take time out to care for YOU!

Congratulations! I am very happy to heat that you got a job. There are so many people that I know that are out of work now. It makes me really happy to hear that someone has actually gotten a job. It makes me more confident about things. I am very, very happy for you. Great job, and I hope you enjoy the new job. Sounds like the person who interviewed you really likes you and that is a great thing. Congratulations again!

Oh my gosh! That's great news. I've been trying to find a second job for a while now, but with no luck.. (I've gotten a few call-backs, but nothing after that). It's great that you and the hiring manager hit it off - I'm sure you were pretty ecstatic about that! I've had interviews where the interviewer was stone cold - and pretty rude & unfriendly as well. But thankfully that wasn't the case for you. Anyway, good luck with your job! And CONGRATS!

Congratulations on getting the job! I wish I could work but I'm getting SSI and my lawyer has advised me not to work. Also, if the social security found out anything about it, they would stop my check. They stopped it one time because I had a little too much in the bank. I wouldn't want that to happen again. My family is also helping me out at the same time. They're not going to help me forever. In the meantime, I'm looking for something to do on the computer to supplement my SSI check. I just hope I can find something. Where will you be working, btw? It sounds like something that you will be good at and something that you will enjoy if you and the interviewer hit it off like best friends. I haven't had many jobs like that, myself. Kathy.

NO DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT GETTING A JOB! It takes a long time to become eligible for SSI. My husband is on it too. He went thru hell and back just to get the pittance they give you. You can work for up to 20 hours. It sounds dishonest but Keep a lock box or get a debit card with a credit card logo and put the rest. My husband uses "Account Now Visa". Its so great that I even have one. They charge a monthly fee but so doesnt every other card as well. THey charge less than $10. You can volunteer or work on a hobby. Good Luck dl

I was trying to get social security but the judge awarded me SSI. My lawyer said it was because I hadn't worked long enough to qualify for social security. It really took me a long time to get SSI,too. I'm 57 now and I should be eligible to apply for social security again when I get 62. I just hope I get it then. I do have a paypal credit card and I hope that will work. Kathy.

I do volunteer work all the time but I will need something to supplement my SSI check if I don't get social security. Like I said, my family's not going to help me out forever. I appreciate their help but at the same time, I like to do things on my own, too. I would like to work out of my home if I can find something on the computer that's legitimate. I have some prospects, if you know what I mean, but I haven't really gotten into them yet. I volunteer at one nursing home and one assisted living facility every month. I sing and play the guitar at both of these places. I also volunteer at a therapueutic riding center. I really enjoy these jobs because they are just right up my alley. Where will you be working? Kathy.

Thanks so much for your well wishes! Please dont give up! I know exactly how you're feeling. I, too have had the stomach aches, sleeplessness, sleeping too much, depression overall. Dont let any of it get to you. Remember that within the next few weeks school starts and many jobs will open up. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Let me know as soon as you get one. I give it less than two months and you will be employed and we will be complaining our feet hurt from working too much. lol Keep the faith my friend. dl

hi there.. I'm jobless as of this time and feel like so sad in everyday of my life, that is wasted for doing nothing but stay at home. Right now I'm applying for a job at a company which is related to my field, however, they didn't call me so far. I've tried applying in a call center hoping that i could have one in that industries. But I just found out that i really don't have luck in there. Please advice me on how to deal this shortcomings of my life. Thanks.
