Hey friends, just thinking back over my life and trying to figure out if I've made some really dumb decisions. I'm sure that I've probably made a few bad ones here or there. So what about you, have you ever made any real dumb decisions? Tell us mylotters about it if you dare!

Yes I think in one way or the other we constantly make some dumb decisions which later on gets corrected when we started learning from them. I've had one dumb decision which happened 2 years ago. I chose a different job (far from my course) which I needed to complete in 6 months time. Later on I find out that I shouldn't have accepted the job because it actually slower down the process of an employment for the job which I really should have been in to. But then again, that dumb decision was right after all because the company that I am working now makes me happy, fulfilled and satisfied. ;)

Dumb decisions. Hey Jazzbabe, thanks for your reply. You are lucky that your dumb decision turned out in your favor. I think that I have made several dumb decisions concerning jobs. So we not gonna even go there okay, lols? Anyhow sometimes I feel like I could just kick myself for the dumb decisions that I have made in life. It's not even that I have made very many compared to most people but I don't even like it even when I make just a few. It seems to eat away at me for a long long time. I realize that making a few dumb decisions are a part of life. But even still I hate to make them and i do try to learn from them, so I guess that's the most important thing in the longrun. Well I gotta run. I don't want to make a dumb decision and stay up during this thunderstorm that I hear rumbling on. So take care and add me as a friend and I will chat back with you again soon....... Happy mylot!

Sure I'll add you. ;) You're right, while we are still able to turn away from making dumb decisions, then go and stay away. But isn't it that we'll never know if it was indeed a dumb decision if we haven't took the risk of going for that decision?? just wondrin..;) you take care pal!

Every instance in life provides some new learning/s or the other. Humans err knowingly and unknowingly and those errors generally teach something of value. What may seem dumb today, may turn out to be a wise decision tomorrow, and what seems right, may turn out to be dumb, and this goes on and on, until that human is alive. What may turn out to be good for me, may harm someone else, what is good for others may be harmful to me and mine. For me it'd be pretty difficult to tie down one particular action or inaction that was dumb, or one particular action or inaction that was the wisest/best. Time, the observer will be the best judge of my actions, probably even I may not be able to determine what was really good or really bad in my life......

citychic my dumb decision was to give in and go for a b a in english in myfifties when what I wanted to do was get a degree in library science instead.I regretted it at once and still do but now I am too old to really care, but it would have enabled me to work as a refernce librarian not as a poorly paid page.so we live and we learn sometimes too late, too.

Dumb decisons.......... Hello Hatley, it's good that you don't really care anymore but just remember, you're never too old go back to school. I felt like i was alone and the only one who had made a dumb decision concerning my career. Originally i wanted to become a Surgical technician. I've always known that i was a little bit slow in the math department but that could be improved with the right help. So after I took the pretest and it came back showing that my scores weren't up to par for that particular career I allowed the damn admin people there to talk me into signing up for something else. What I should have done was told them if they couldn't get me into the field that I wanted to go into then I should have just walked out. My dumb decisions was that I just went along with it. Then allowed them to talk me into Massage therapy. Don't get me wrong, I like doing massages okay. But it's a lot of work and it's almost scientific and it wasn't my first choise. In other words, when you take the test for it, you have to really know what you are doing. Long story short, I should have walked out instead of staying there listening to their crap. I'm sure that I will wrap things up with it some day but right now I just don't feel motivated to continue with it. Happy mylot!

yes, i have made a dumb decision or u can tell it as a nasty decision or serious mistake which i ever made in my life, when i was studying 3rd year in college, i failed in a subject in the 4th semester, due to wrong evaluation of the paper, i was my class representative during that period, but when i got the semester results, i was asked to step down by my own buddy, but i did not think like that...and i dont wanna continue with an unfinished paper of the previous semester, so i decided to step down, actually i was forced to do so...i stepped down, but later revaluation results came and i cleared that paper....but i lost my post, which i loved the most...many people were giving much respect to me when i was in the post, but everybody now showing their back, even my best or close friends were supporting my rival, that is the person who asked me to step down, 'cause he wanted to get to that post....now i feel that i have lost my pride..i was cornered in all positions...i was not given a single chance in any matter..even they divided some groups, but that buddy who asked me to step down, did not consider my sacrifice to him, he ignored me... now i feel very shame to walk in the corridors of my college, any way now i am in the final year , we are gonna see each other for next 4-5 months... but one day he will recognise the mistake .... this is the decision or dumb decision which i ever made.. later i decided not to have many friends outside ..so i concentrated in the virtual world of computers and internet.. happy to respond.. happy mylotting..

dumb decisions........... Well I wouldn't exactly call that a dumb decision my friend, it seems to me that you were cornered up and didn't really have much of a choice. We can really tell who our true friends are when we have our backs against a wall. I'm sure that your friend will realize what a great mistake he made once he reflects back over it all. Losing a best friend is one of the worst mistakes that we can make in our lives. If I were you when I went back there I would hold my head up high because you've done nothing for which you should feel ashamed of. The only thing that you did was to step down after you realized that you didn't have the tools to cope with once the wrong evaluation had been made. So hold your head high, you've done nothing wrong. Happy mylot!
