Finally a decent paying Call for Content.

How many of you are getting any Calls for Content that are paying and how much are they paying? All of my C4C's have either been for page views or a couple of dollars. Finally, I receive a C4C worth $5 and $6. Needless to say I claimed both of those calls. Finally, I was able to claim a call. Anyone else getting any c4c's that are paying good?

I don't get any calls for content that I can actually do. Like today, they all seem to be parenting, dogs and California wildfires. I do not have kids; I own cats, and I live in Colorado. Hmmm, anyone else see the pattern here. The call for content I did was an contest entry last year. Wait, I also did one for pure page views about the Rocky Mountain News closing, but I was planning on doing that one anyways (it was pure page views and not enourgh in the end to make it worthwhile). Of course, that is my big problem with the page views only calls; they never end up getting enourgh to justify doing them. I get more page views ignoring the calls and focusing on my particualr niche. So no, my calls for content are not well paying at all.

I'm definitely seeing a pattern. They aren't paying for upfronts and the call for contents are awful. One of the calls I received was for a father. If you read my profile it's pretty easy to figure out a. I'm a FEMALE b. I would be considered a MOM. The article for the father also asked for personal experience. I put my baseball glove on and started typing. Hope that counts. LOL I don't know what the heck they are thinking sending some of the c4c's to people. Honestly, I think they've lost their minds. And they may be losing the company with the lack of pay. LOL

And the excuses they are using to avoid paying for upfronts are just pitiful. I used a couple of semicolons and two Latin words in an article, and got told that I was not following spelling and grammar standards. Yeah, quit paying your writers and they will leave.

I think that is what they are trying to do. They only want professional writers on there but unfortunately, not many professional writers are going to stick around with the pay they are giving.

Do you have to be at a certain clout level to get a C4C? I saw an assignment for back to school crafts but it was a video and I couldn't think of anything and didn't have time to try and make a video.

You can be any clout level. Associated Content will automatically send out calls for content. I believe the pay will be based on your clout or your page views though. A lot of people seem to get higher offers on the C4C and I think it's because of their page views. The payment of course is listed in the Call for Content description. It may offer money or it may save performance pay. Performance pay is the page views. Supposedly, they send Call for Contents that match your interests or articles that you have written. Since you sent in video, they might have given you a video c4c because they thought that would be an interest.

I guess this means when I start making samples and organizing my class supplies I need to take pictures and create some articles.

I just got a C4C for $10 that I can't do because although it's for arts and crafts and I am an artist, ti ask to read about things like knitting, soap making, furniture building or sewing. I know nothing about these things, I paint and draw. If they look at my videos, which the reason I think they sent me this C4C they would know that.

HAHA.LOL That is too funny. Since you know about art, will you knit me a sweater for Christmas. LOL Seriously, they don't look at the work you have done very closely. Because you have art in your interests, you get the call. I however, am jealous. I don't get any $10 c4c's. I guess I will have to go pout and improve my writing again.

Hey, did someone say craft articles? How can I get in on these calls for content? If AC sent me emails like that I would write more often!

Normally the calls for content that I claim are around three or four dollars. I have noticed that the paying calls for content have been less and less lately. I dont know if thats because there really is less or if I just dont get to them fast enough before other people claim them. However I prefer to write my own things most of the time.
