Ice Cream Truck

I know this is a favorite of all children, just hearing the music play and seeing the ice cream truck...stop...in front of...our house!!! I wouldn't mind giving my son the money for one---if I had it. I feel terrible when my son cries and leaves with all his friends having an ice cream bar. Plus, in my town, you could probably buy a whole box for the price of one cone or sandwich or bar. How do you feel after your ice cream truck comes by?

Yeah the kids in my home get excited when they hair the song. They all get their allowance and run to go to the truck. I think it is the fact they are going to the truck with their friends because I have icecream in home that they eat aswell. I have a problem with the icecream truck in my neihborhood it is too expensive and the man has no patience. If he seas no kids he does not park. He need to understand children need time to count their change.

Sounds to me, that man is in the wrong business!!! Yes, children are going to run in and ask their parents/grandparents anyone for money to go to that truck and he will need to wait a few until one comes out. That job does take patience and understanding of kids, especially if he wants to make money. I feel most of it is that he see's his friends go to truck and he wants to fit in also and be part of the crowd-----plus have a ice cream :)) thanks for posting.

Since my children are all grown up and moved out, I don't have to go through that but I know how painful it is for you. When I was young the ice cream truck sold the ice cream for $.25 and it was a big deal then--my entire allowance (when mom could afford it)! Maybe you could freeze some yogurt for him? I used to make my kids yogurt popsicles with a set of forms I picked up at the thrift store. They're low calorie, nutritious and taste wonderful.

We just got those "squeeze & suck" yougurt cups and he is thrilled with them. Guess because you can slurp and not have to use a spoon!! haha.... I try to get him all the healthy food i can for he is a growing boy and will eat anything in sight!!! yet, i still let him have cookies and other things...when allowed. thanks for posting.

perhaps you could buy inexpensive freezies or other frozen treats from the grocery store when they are on sale, thats what we do and i used to give them to our kids when the ice cream man came around. they are older now but still love frozen treats so i stock up when they are on sale.

that i do: buy inexpensive ice cream or popsicles whatever he would like from the store. yet, he see's his friends with that and just to "go" to the ice cream truck is a thrill to him. i was just seeing if anyone else was/have ever been in the same situation. thanks for posting. happy mylotting.

yea, i know the truck must make profit also, but i also know how much the children enjoy seeing the "ice cream truck" and be all excited. Though, I know we may have our ice cream in the freezer and his grandmother also, he still likes that truck lol thanks for posting
