A British survey claims that most women prefer to work under male bosses as they are less prone to mood swings. In a survey of 2000 women in full time or part time employment, 63 per cent expressed a male preference, while 37 per cent opted for a woman because male bosses are more authoritative, straight talking and better at making decisions.
What is your opinion about this? All gender can respond regarding their preference of the boss.

I have worked under both male and female managers/supervisors. I had to admit that every women I have worked under has been very intimidating and I know how the female mind works, so I get nervous and tense around women that are in charge. On the other hand, the men that I have worked under pretty much just walk around like they know everything and that's about it, and just leave us alone and don't create any type of drama, so I definitely think that I prefer working under men than women.

Although women are prone to mood swings, male bosses have their own idiosyncrasies. I had a male boss who'd never take NO for an answer, and who never listens to his subordinates. Whether a boss is good or not depends on his/her attitude. A good boss respects, understands and assists his subordinates. So I think that British survey is invalid... not worth taking note of.
Cheers!
