Senator and Conrgressmen Pork Barrel to be increased?

For senators and congressmen, pork barrel is where they have a certain budget that they can use to build roads and other improvements for their province or district.
However, it cannot be denied that some of them are corrupt and the money is being used properly. Recently, a congressman is requesting that their pork budget should be increased. According to him, the last computation was made last 1992 and the prices of materials are more expensive than before.
For me, I think they should focus first on assuring that the budget will be spent wisely and not inside their pockets. Then, have an increase if they think it should have.
No, do you think it's appropriate to have an increase in their pork barrel?
No hurting words, please.

Oh no please. They must be contented with their current pork barrel, anyway some of their promised infrastructures did not come true, I mean some of those projects did not materialize. They must concentrate first what things ought to be done to improve the economy and work on it rather than storming the country with their pork barrel to be increased. I guess we are having a catastrophe if they continue fighting for budget with no specific purpose.

I don't think there is no appropriate complain in that issue. We do not have the power to stop that laws from the congress to benefit them more.
As we all know prices of all commodities here in the country is increase. Therefor, the pork barrel also must increase to give way the congressmen and the senate buy their own voters this coming elections..lol.
Whatever person who suggest to increase pork barrel. We can say that he/she is greed. What is the use of that pork barrel since we don't see any progress in every district or provinces. All projects in the provinces, is coming from local government budget not from the congressmen. If there is project says form the congressmen that is two rooms of school then print in top of the roof...Project of blabla..?

It really pains me alot to see the money that was taken away from my month's salary being used to pay for expensive trips and lavish dinners. I just looked on the bright side - at least I am a person with a clear conscience. Being responsible for lots and lots of people going hungry, people dying, people hating other people because of the hard times they're experiencing.. how do these leaders sleep at night?

with the news that congressmen paid for the extravagant and excessive dinners by mrs. arroyo and her contingent of loyalists, how could they expect the public to trust them more with the taxpayers' money? it is also known that pork barrel is their bread and butter for corruption. and i don't understand how these people get away with our money. most of them should be jailed for enriching themselves without sweating much.

If only their use the pork barrel properly but in reality many politician are corrupt and the budget sometimes go to their own pockets. It is not appropriate for now to increase the pork barrel it is subjected to corruptions. If they know how to use their budget properly I think it is enough for the whole municipality. In the documentary I watched in GMA7 some projects of the local government never existed or overpriced. That's why I don't agree to increased the pork barrel.
