i would like to know what you folks out there are doing to make a difference in the world? i want to know any little thing that you are doing because there are so few of us out there trying to change the world and make it a better place. i have adopted 3 soldiers through an agency, and while i do not support the war i do support our troops. anyways every week i write a letter to each of them just to let them know that someone out there cares. the program was came about because while the troops are out there fighting the war some of them had stopped going for mail call because they never received anything so they saw no point. this was seen to be bad for morale. so what me and some other soldiers' angels are doing are writing to these poor souls to let them know that someone cares and so that they too get something in the mail. i send them care packages and little slices of home. if anyone is interested in doing the same thing you can PM and i will give you the details. i would also just like to do more volunteer work something perhaps like habitat for humanity.

Well what i think to make a difference is always being a person whom I am and not change for any one else in the world.I never let any one down if a person asks for the smallest of helps,a good listener I am.Solving problems is what helps me in getting peace of mind though.Nothing other than ordinary is what I do,what you guys do is really great in my view.Keep up the good work.

yeah i think that it is important to pass good along, and help those that are not as fortunate. i mean i am not saying that we are obligated to, i am just saying during these trying times, passing a little love, or money or help along makes all the difference. i am kept up at night sometimes during freezing weather, wondering where some of the homeless will find shelter. oh look at me, trying to solve the world's problems...

I my viewpoint doing a help never actually wastes our time it adds to the precious time.Well a help can make a difference anywhere. With good ideas and making them come through to the public too adds the essence of the thought created.I meant bringing in our ideas to all makes much difference.Have a good great day.

I am not sure if this is what you mean or not, but my husband and I are members (and regular volunteers) of a local horse rescue. We try to save horses from neglectful and abusive homes as well as trying to prevent them from going to slaughter buyers. We rehabilitate the horses, get them any needed medical care, retrain them if necessary and then adopt them out to new homes. We have a couple of horses that are adopted from the rescue in our herd. And I suppose you could say that we support our military every day that we are at work because we work directly with them. We are not actually in the military but we are contracted with DOD and get to meet and interact with the soldiers on an almost daily basis. At least it feels like we are helping them out and supporting them!

yes that is exactly the sort of thing that i mean. i think that it is important to give back to the community and to others. especially those who cannot do it for themselves, and that does involve children and animals. any kind of volunteering really.
