What is the best bait to use when fishing for catfish? We use chicken livers and recently tried shrimp. They loved the shrimp. Any new ideas?

We use pork liver and night crawlers. They like the liver better. We will have to try the shrimp. But think about it they are part cat and part fish so why wouldn't they like shrimp?

Cut bait works well, or so I am told. They will hit minnows too, a cat will eat almost anything.

I too use chicken livers, shrimp, and nightcrawlers. Have tou tried blood balls? They sell them already made up in bags. They can work really good. They come in different varieties, shrimp, shad, cheese, etc... I once made up my own mix that they really seemed to like. In a blender I mixed canned tuna, carlic powder, cheddar cheese, and chicken liver. Then I stirred in enough flour to make a stiff dough. Put the dough on a trebble hook. They really hit good on this mix. You may want to try. It has all the things cats love in it.
