These days have been really hot finally, I don't feel like eating at all because it is so hot and humid, I just like to have nice cold drinks but somehow I need to eat something because I do feel hungry... and I don't want to go to bed later tognithw ith a hallow stomach. The other thing is my partner is not going to be around for the upcoming days, so I won't do cooking at all, do you guys have any idea of what I could do for dinner alone? Right now, I have instant noodles, frozen pizza, chips, ice cream, pretty much that's it... So do you eat normal even in those hot days? What do you eat? (Hot soup?) Let's ahre your views!

In the hotter weather i usually eat lighter, and just pick at things like a salad, or just some type of sandwich. It is just to much to eat a heavy meal when it is hot outside.

When it is hot i tend to pick at food rather than eating a large amount or a proper meal as i do not feel like much to eat when it is very hot.I tend to eat a few sandwiches and crisps or some times a pizza.I also hate to cook when it is hot so i try to stick to things like noodles so it dont heats up the kitchen as well as the rest of the house.

You know what? When I think about it I really dont feel like eating anything. Like today, it was very humid that Im about to get headaches from the heat. I dont want to eat but I do wish to cool down. So I just turned the a/c on in my parent's room(its the only room with a/c) and watched tv all day. AFter a while I decided to take a second shower for the day in late afternoon. Though there was lightning a bit mid-afternoon. I do crave for cold drinks, or ice cream.^_^ But there are just those times that Id crave for a hot soup or hot drinks(coffee;tea) even when the weather is scorching hot. Anyway, its best not to let our bodies starve even when our mind doesnt want to eat. Take care always.^_^

mermaidivy, summer is really a weather we don't feel like eating ya, and of course with that kind of weather, you don't feel like sleeping either.. however, in the country that we are living, we have only the sun and rain weather, which make at least 70% of the time, it's super duper hot. What we have here, will be always rice and since I am a Chinese, we have all the time clear soups to go along our rice. I think something soupy will be nice for summer day, and not too much of instant noodle my dear friend.. not good for health.. Well, if you think it's just too hot and unbearable, maybe an ice cream for desserts will be nice..

Ice cream for dessert is certainly nice for a summer food :-)

I did a big pot of porridge today, as I rather have porridge than rice on hot days.

You should definitely stock up on things that will cool you down- such as fruits, water, vegetables, even ice cream and popsicles are important. It's critical to stay hydrated during the hot summer.

I agree with you, I don't feel like eating when its too hot, makes me sweat when I'm chewing my food..lol. When its really hot here, we eat alot of cold sandwiches, and drink alot of Iced Tea and eat ice cream, I found that if I have some ice cream it cools me off quick. I don't like cooking when its hot, because our house is hard to cool anyway, so me turning on the stove heats up the kitchen and makes it worse, I don't like standing over a hot stove in the summer. We eat all varieties of sandwiches, my husband don't mind, he said he likes them..ha.

This seems like a real trauma! I find it so difficult to eat when it's really warm! I guess I tend to go for a cold sandwich when the weather is like this oh and lots of cold drinks too to keep me cool. I don't feel comfortable standing by the cooker cooking a meal when the weather is really warm. Anyway, living in the UK the weather isn't always warm we get a lot of change and I'm pretty happy with this! Andrew

Well if I've done a lot of excercising or it's really hot and I've been sweating all day then no I usually don't like to eat all that much but if I'm at my house and it's not too bad then I can eat it just all depends on my feeling.

Hello, when it is too hot I drink alot of liquids. I like having a popsicle too.If it is too hot to cook we go out to dinner. We also go to the movies and have snacks so we don't usually feel like eating too much after the movie. The instant noodle sounds good if it is microwavable .

I have gotten some instant noodles and it was microwavable. It was fettuccine alfredo but I don't remember who made it. As long as I didn't have to turn on the oven.

When it is hot I will eat small portion during the day instead of eating just three meals a day. I also eat a lot of ice cream in the summer because of the heat. I eat salads, food that I can prepare in my microwave to I do not have to turn the oven on.

I know what you mean. It's hard to eat a meal or cook one when you are so hot and miserable. I usually like to make something on top of the stove like spaghetti or chili. But some days, I just order take-out or make a huge salad. When my kids were little and my husband was on a business trip. I would get frozen dinners and make them for all of us. They were satisfying and I didn't have to exert myself when it was to hot to do anything. Since you're all alone when your partner is away, I think that would be a good way of getting something nutritious, because chips and ice cream just don't have a lot of vitamens.

Honesty, on hot days I pretty much live on different flavored noodles like you would have as a side with a meal, and especially fruits and veggies. I cannot eat anything that is really a meal because I just never feel that hungry! I try to go with healthy and fresh things, like a home made stir fry, or even the frozen kinds at the store are not that bad!

Summertime, is the time of eating, and pigging out. Did you know, during the summer, the average teenager or adult gains at least 5 pounds of fat every summer? They don't notice it because they will burn in off once school starts. But anyways, during summertime, ice creams, buffets, seafood, anything I can find in my fridge is my jam. Im not fat because I excercise and play lots of sports, but I always love to pig out with ice cream on the hot summer days. I avoid soups in the summer like most people, but that doesn't stop me from eating chips, pizza, junk food, more junk food, etc.

I go for frozen and fraps drinks from the coffee shop downstairs..or coke float from McDonalds. I also love to eat, but more on cold desserts..and spend most of the time inside the office because its AC all over. I hate going out. i cant stand too much heat.

I do not feel like eating on hot summer days, and due to intake of lots of water, cool drinks and fluids I hardly feel hungry. I just manage with some salads or so. You can have cool curds with some toppings like cucumber tomatoes etc , it really tastes good and very good for your health too during hot summer days.

It's been pretty hot here in the Sacramento area too lately. I don't feel like eating if I am at home where the AC doesn't work as well as it does at work. I only eat yogurt with fruit and granola it seemed like over the weekend. I didn't want to make anything. I did make dinner last night (taco wrap ups... yummy) but that made the front part of the house up to like 85 (with the AC on). We ate but I didn't enjoy it as much because it was too hot.

I, as many people, do not eat normally during the hot months of the year. I catch myself nibbling here and there. Every once in a while I will eat a meal at dinnertime, but if I do that would be the only meal I eat.
